Bluebirds to complete pre-season schedule at Dean Court

We are pleased to confirm that the Bluebirds will play their final pre-season fixture at AFC Bournemouth on Friday, 31st July.

Eddie Howe’s Cherries, recently promoted to the Barclays Premier League, will host City at Dean Court in a 7.45pm kick-off. It’ll give Russell Slade’s men their final chance of pre-season football prior to the Sky Bet Championship kicking off the following weekend.

Supporters wishing to travel to this fixture will be able to pay for their tickets on the gate. Ticket pricing will be confirmed closer to the fixture.

So that's our "glamorous" pre-season fixture this year?

Away to Bournemouth?

Oh well, if the weather's nice we can there early and ride a Slade....I mean, donkey, on the beach.

Cheltenham Town have today confirmed another pre season friendly, this time against Championship side Cardiff City.

Cardiff will visit Whaddon Road on Wednesday July 29 for a 7.45pm kick off and they are managed now by former Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade.

He was Grimsby Town's manager for the 2006 League Two Play Off final at the Millennium Stadium where we came out as winners.

Cardiff finished in 11th place in the Championship in 2014-15 following their relegation the season before from the Premier League.

There remains one more higher level home friendly on Tuesday July 21 still to be confirmed.

Schedule so far.

Saturday, July 11: Cirencester Town (a), 3pm
Tuesday, July 14: Evesham United (a), 7.45pm
Saturday, July 18: Weston-super-Mare (a), 3pm
Saturday, July 25: Bristol Rovers (h), 3pm
Wednesday, July 29: Cardiff City (h), 7.45pm
Saturday, August 1: AFC Wimbledon (a), 3pm
