Club shop

sorry if I have missed any announcement, but reading about the red shirts for £5 reminded me that around this time last year the club shop had it's annual summer sale ready for people going on holidays etc.etc.

have they had a repeat this year, or is one planned ?

The club shop is basically broken at the moment. When you go on the different features, no products actually show.

You can get better shopping websites for about 2 grand nowadays. Completely pathetic seeing as our club is worth millions.

Embarrassing that a club that was in the premier league has a worse online store than most league 1, 2 teams.

It isn't hard ffs.

But to answer your question, the club has constant sale on atm.

Think they've already had one, club shop isn't even open now, think it's a mini stall outside the ground. There's a shop in St Davids but not sure if they've moved any of the sale stuff there. :ayatollah:

They haven't. Every time I've past it the staff are just hanging around doing nothing.

Can you blame them, they're flogging shit merchandise, their clothing range is awful. They need to consult with fans on what THEY want. If we are with Adidas, you will see plenty wanting the training gear, the lot. Because it's Adidas and it's got our badge on there.

But merchandise from the club, they have to get spot on. What kind of clothing we like, the design of the shirts etc. They can't just assume what we want, they have to consult. I loved that they sold the Super Ted shirt etc, that was a great sell. They need more of that, our first season back in blue needs to be one where fans can buy BLUE merchandise

I went to the sale a couple of weeks ago just before they started refurbishing the club shop ready for the new branded produce for next season...it was like a fire sale and then it was over, a few things were sent to the city centre and a portable shop outside the club shop

They started the season as the club's home colours and a symbol that continued to divide the Cardiff City fanbase.

But now, at the end of a campaign that saw the Bluebirds controversial 2012 rebrand reversed, Cardiff City's red shirts are being shifted at rock bottom prices at the club's city centre outlet.

As evidenced by a picture posted on Twitter by popular fan account View From The Ninian, supporters can now buy the 2014/15 red replicas in adult sizes for just £5.

The arresting image shows the scale of change the club has undergone over the past 10 months.

Fans were given hope that a change back to blue may be in the offing after a 'consultative' meeting with the club hierarchy at the start of January.

Just a few days later it was confirmed that blue would indeed return as the club's primary playing colour effective immediately.

In the forthcoming 2015/16 season, Cardiff will wear blue for all home matches and shirts will feature a new club crest with the Bluebird as the dominant image. The away kit will be red.

After instigating the change to red in 2012, owner Vincent Tan said his change of heart earlier this year was largely influenced by his mother Madam Low Siew Beng.

In a statement he said: "My mother, Madam Low Siew Beng, a devout Buddhist, who attended Cardiff City Football Club to watch them play, spoke to me on the importance of togetherness, unity and happiness.
"I very much hope these steps will bring unity, success and happiness to our club.

"The challenge ahead for us is enormous and I truly believe we will overcome these obstacles as a united club."
