Liverpool set to submit shock bid for Cardiff City ace?

Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall could be in line for a shock move to Liverpool.
Cardiff boss Russell Slade wants to keep Marshall at the Cardiff City Stadium but the offer to both Slade and the player may too good to resist.
The Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is looking for a keeper to put pressure on current first-choice stopper Simon Mignolet.
The Scotland international is one of the top targets for the Anfield oufit this summer and Rodgers could be prepared to offer up to £5 million for Marshall.
The Mersyside club had targeted other goalkeepers but one of those, Noberto Neto of Fiorentina, looks likely to be on his way to Juventus.
Marshall had been linked with a move to Arsenal following Cardiff’s relegation from the Premier League in 2014 but he decided to stay with the Bluebirds despite impressing in the top-flight.
He has been with the Welsh side for six years after joining from Norwich City and has gone on to make 237 appearances.

good luck to him if he does go,only what he deserves.It makes it even more strange that so many others in football dont have the attitude to make it to the top...the rewards can be huge but you have to show you are capable of being a top footballer..

Seems to contradict Liverpool's transfer policy which is to sign and nurture 'young' talent.

Slade has denied all these rumours, saying we want to keep Marshall. Talking of a waste of money, why don't we flog Tan's red stand to Bournemouth as someone suggested?
