" LATEST DEVELOPMENTS ON CITY PLAYER LEAVING "

Update on David Marshal

So far Liverpool have made No approach just paper talk but they are monitoring things.
Ive been told they would not be offering Marshal first choice.

But Derby County are believed to want Marshal and would pay the £5 million and give Marshal the No 1.
Marshal is more than happy to stay in Cardiff and loves it here, apparently Marshals family would stay in Cardiff, his children are settled in School etc. If he left and he would commute, that's if City decide to sell him.

I would be surprised if Liverpool let DM commute. It is my understanding that they have a relatively strict residency code that require all players to have a place of residence within a certain distance of Anfield.

I remember a few years back Stan Collymore fell foul of this. He wanted to live in Staffordshire but wasnt allowed to.

Ian, as you know because you live near Derby, they are spending big money to get back to the Premier League and will prob be in the top 3 spenders in the Championship next season.

Anything above 4m would be very good business in my opinion

Tan will force him out to get his wages off the books.

Tan won't care which club Marshall goes to as long as we can get some money for him.

Same old stories as last season. Nothing happened then so probably same will happen this year and marshall will stay.

Over two hundred games and yet to score his first goal,of course Tan will sell him,and I for one won't blame him

David Marshall (and his family) settled in Cardiff and no great desire to move on; certainly not to be a bench warmer, which will affect his Scotland International chances!

Would be very surprised if he went; unless, of course, he is TOLD to go (which I doubt will happen) ;)

David Marshall wasn't expected to follow us back into the Championship following our relegation a year ago but he stayed at Cardiff, although his season was disrupted by injury.

We'll still want to keep the 30-year-old but with him, probably, among our top earners and a clearout of these taking place recently, he could follow suit and get back into the Premier League with Liverpool reportedly showing an interest.

Arsenal and Spurs were interested when we were relegated but the Scotland international committed his future to us but Wales Online says that Liverpool are looking at him with a £5m offer coming our way?

Simon Moore's been linked with Leeds for £500,000 and when these reported surfaced I'd said that I could see this possibly happening as long as Marshall stayed at the Cardiff City Stadium. If he didn't Moore, who didn't look out of place, would stay and as our number one.

Marshall leaving for Anfield, or elsewhere, would promote Moore to number one and see him going nowhere but which one, if any, would we soon leave this summer?
