£8 Million for two strikers

Read on the sun earlier that Slade is getting £8 mill to spend on Dwight Gayle and Daryl Murphy. Both fairly young and both proven at championship level i think £8 million for both is quite good since two years ago we spent £7.5 million on Cornelious and he didn't do a thing.

When the Gayle/Murphy rumours first came out I thought there was nothing in them. But if we can sell Manga and Marshall for £5m each then I'd say we've got a great shout. We can still ship out the likes of Guerra/Le Fondre/KTC/Macheda/Noone/Jones/Dikgacoi/Fabio to cut the wage bill, and get some decent players in like Byrne at affordable prices.

Not that I think we will sign gayle but he could be here for competition to Doyle rather than as a partner. With revell and macheda battling for the other spot.
Not sure we have ruined earnie, chopra, bothroyd to name a few
