A Disgrace.

Makes me laugh when people try and say we sold our soul with the rebrand when there is no soul in football to sell. Disgraceful.

I can't see the FBI leaving it at that. Don't forget they lost the bid to Qatar. There's plenty of time to do some digging before the tournament.
Personally, I hope it all implodes and they have to start from scratch. However, I assume you've all seen this graphic showing the fatalities at various WC venues. It is truly shocking.

Sorry, I meant to say that they are also Olympic Games figures as well.

Not surprising to be honest. I think a lot of member associations that voted for Blatter have some connection to dodgy dealings over the past couple of decades so have voted him back in to protect their own interests. Either that or they don't have a f*cking clue.
I am still amazed Blatter has the arrogance to stay on. If this was a privately run business then he would have been forced to stand down by now. It sums up the character of the person running FIFA. Believes he is untouchable. He was involved in dodgy dealings for sure or was at least party to them. It will catch up with him eventually.

It's because FIFA is run like a private business that blatter doesn't stand down. If it were a PLC he would go, but FIFA clearly don't feel they are accountable to anyone. Blatter and FIFA is an old boys club, an organisation in it for themselves. To see delegates giving him a standing ovation and him blurting out more lies and his "go FIFA" nonsense sums it all up. I hope UEFA take extreme measures and pull out and go it alone, even if it means the end of the World Cup for a while
Go UEFA, go UEFA.....

This is what I am hoping for.
If we as UEFA take a lead an organise an alternative competition you just watch FIFA implode. I can see the likes of Argentina, Brazil and the other big countries outside of UEFA sending a team against their own countries authority to compete in the competition. Can you imagine the likes of Messi playing for the alternatives with the threat he would not be able to play for his own country again? I'm sure it would not bother him because as soon as a solution is found Argentina would welcome him back with open arms.

I don't believe UEFA have the gumption to withdraw from the World Cup (I believe it should happen) but don't believe it should be for the players to lead the way either...
This is an administrative problem and it is the administrators that need to sort it out!
Blatter should go and in any other Organisation it would already have happened (Governments included) but this goes to show what an insular, self-regulated and self-interested group runs world football!
We now appear to have a Welshman in as a FIFA Vice President...
Good for Welsh football??
Not in my opinion. I wish him good luck, but the guy was originally overlooked (some might say stitched up!) in favour of David Gill and I think 'principle' should come into play here!
