' JAVI GUERRA IS WANTED BACK '
Malaga want Guerra back, but I believe if they only have to just pay Guerra's wages.
So Guerra looks like he will be back once again playing in La Liga, one of the best Leagues in the World.
Malaga change their minds over keeping Cardiff striker Javi Guerra

The Spaniard seemed set for a return to Cardiff this summer, but plans have now changed at La Rosaleda.
Back in March, Javi Guerra made it perfectly clear he had no desire to make a return to Cardiff City, declaring: "As far as I'm concerned, I'd be delighted to stay with Malaga."
However, in April and with reports the Costa del Sol club had agreed a move for Levante striker, David Barral, it looked increasingly like a permanent move was now out of the question for Guerra.
Circumstances at Malaga now seem to indicate their thoughts and plans may have changed, with a deal for the 33-year-old now becoming a serious possibility, according to local newspaper Diario Sur.
Partly, the about-turn from Malaga comes due to limited funds, plus Financial Fair Play restrictions in La Liga, with the club hovering at their wage cap following the permanent signing of Nordin Amrabat from Galatasaray.
Given his willingness and desire to stay with Malaga, the club are now hopeful Guerra can secure his departure from Cardiff City permanently, leaving them free to complete his signing for nothing.
There is though, the recognition that nothing will be easy or straightforward in that regard, as player still has two more years left on his contract with the Welsh club.
As such, the ball is in Cardiff's court right now. Much will depend on whether they want Guerra to return and fulfil his contractual obligations, or to sell the player for a transfer fee.
Obviously, Malaga are hoping Cardiff will want to cut their losses and release the player from his contract, making Guerra a free agent and clear to sign for them.
Indications right now from La Rosaleda are that for his part, Guerra will be trying to do everything in his power to arrange his permanent departure from Cardiff, whilst also willing to take a significant drop in salary, in order to stay with his hometown club.
Guerra remains patient about his situation. Questioned on the subject after the final game of the season in La Liga, he told Diario Sur: "There's time to sort things out. There's all summer ahead of us. I have no problem making sacrifices. It's a question of values. A player always wants to be playing at the highest level."
Effectively, that was another clear indication that he has no desire to play in the Championship or with Cardiff, whilst also willing to take a personal loss financially. Only time and careful negotiations between all parties, will dictate if he gets his wish.

Shame it didn't work out and I wish him well. We treated him like shit!

What's annoying about this is he is probably the difference between mid table next season and the play offs , possibly automatics . We need a 20 + goal a season striker to partner Doyle , his record shows he is certainly in that category and he is allready our player .
We should keep if possible

I totally agree with you but do you ever wonder why both managers didn't play him? If everything was spot on he was training well and rattling in goals for fun then he would have played, something couldn't have been right.

True, but OGS didn't play him. I give up trying to figure it out but the powers above have to be involved

Ole did play him, and he even had a short injury spell in August. Also Ole spoke out about how he was looking to use him and taking time to acclimating him to the championship. Slade threw him right out in the cold, and is even on record Javi is not suited for the championship. Peoples memory ehh

Score 20 odd goals in La liga one of the best leagues in the world but cant get in a team that is mid table of the championship almost fighting for relegation at one time

Sorry , but if he'd shown the balks in training to deserve his spot he would have played.
Bollox to all the rumours and what his friends had to say. No- one would have turned him down if they thought he would have made a difference.

If one transfer sums up the past couple of seasons it is this one. Very bizarre from the very start. Why would any top flight player sign a pre-contract with a team likely to get relegated? Strange. Shame it never worked out though. He clearly has ability.
