Derby look to sign attacking duo
The Derby Telegraph are reporting that the Rams are making moves to sign Darren Bent and Tom Ince permanently.
Both players made a big impact whilst on loan in the Midlands last season, with Bent netting 12 goals in 17 games and Ince bagging 11 in 18.
The former England striker is out of contract at Aston Villa and has said how much he enjoyed his time at Derby so that could be a goer.
They might have to work a little harder to secure Ince. Recently-relegated Hull City boss Steve Bruce insists that the youngster is not for sale and the Rams can expect to have to fork out big time to prise him away from the KC Stadium.

They are going to have to after bottling it like that.

Why is Ince not getting a chance in the Prem? If he was purely a championship player 11 goals in 18 from midfield would get him looked at surely?

Desperation.
Big club Derby....should really be in the premier....but seem not to be able to cross that line.
These 2 signings are not that much of a confidence boost here. I won't lose any sleep over it.

Not really meaning business, not improving their squad

This is the issue, they haven't improved despite signing two big players.

They should have gone up the last 2 seasons.
Got a funny feeling that they will struggle to get in the top 6 this season. They had their chances and now with a new manager it could take them time to build again.
