Cardiff City are set to compete with Everton for Honduran striker Alberta Elis, according to WalesOnline.
Slade’s side are eyeing a move for Elis
In a shock move the Bluebirds are set to make a £1 million bid for the 19-year-old, who looks set to star in the under-20 World Cup, and it seems that Cardiff are keen to put a deal in place before he jets off.
Toffees manager Roberto Martinez is seemingly keen on working his magic with another Honduran, just like he did with Maynor Figueroa and Wilson Palacios at Wigan Athletic.
Elis has only ever made 16 appearances for his side Olimpia and has only found the net three times.
Cardiff are set for an overhaul of their squad this summer after a poor season back in the Sky Bet Championship, following relegation from the Premier League.
They’re keen on adding more firepower to their squad after the signings of Federico Macheda, Adam Le Fondre and Javi Guerra failed to impress during their first season at the club.

"Compete with Everton"

If they are truly in for him, then we are daydreaming, we have no chance Mason

How is 3 goals in 16 appearances adding more firepower?
