Leeds United and Cardiff City eye move for highly-rated 23-year-old
BY CHARLIE FIRTH ⋅
23rd MAY 2015 ⋅
Cardiff City and Leeds United are both expected to increase their bids for Chesterfield midfielder Samy Morsy
The 23-year-old was Chesterfield player of the season last year, whilst they were in League Two, and has had another outstanding season this year helping his side astonishingly finish in the top six.
Both clubs had bids rejected for the central midfielder, who has described himself as a box-to-box midfielder, in January after an enormous fee was demanded for him.
It’s now believed that they’ve both reignited their interest, with Cardiff leading the chase and hoping to make him their first signing of the summer.
Russell Slade will perhaps hope that Morsy will unlock the potential of Eoin Doyle, who also signed from Chesterfield in January.

Underwhelming signing for me. Watched him in the play offs and was just average. If this is the 'quality' slade is going after i cant see us improving much on last seasons finish.

Beginning of the end for us
Poor mans Gunnar.... But he tries hard so that should keep the kick and rush dungeon element happy.
Only based on the playoff games they lost 4-0 on aggregate
