Bank holiday August - monthly pay

I get monthly pay and I'm off to creamfields last weekend in August, the last day of August is Monday the 31st and it's a bank holiday, stupid question but will I be paid on this day or the Friday before it ? Cheers lads

You definitely won't be paid on the Monday. Depends on your employer but most would pay on the Friday. Have you had a pay day that falls on a weekend previously, if you were paid on the previous Friday then you have your answer.

usually the fri or sat depends on bank , started when the BACS system crashed one weekend and millions didnt get payed until the following tues! so now done early.

I think every employer is contracted to pay their employees on the contracted date.My Mrs has been on a monthly salary for over 30yrs and her salary is always paid on or before her payday so I have no doubts if your payday falls on a bank holiday your pay should be in the previous friday.I'm sure your HR Dept will tell you.

I work in a bank it def be on the Friday.

It was always on the Friday before the bank holiday when I worked in the NHS.
