You vote the devil in (Labour) who only have the tax and spend mindset then the public only have themselves to blame. Harsh but true.

When the Independants were in the attentional costs were covered

Is the £400 per season?

If so , that is similar to the £25 a game RCT charge.

Rct charge covers each club ie if u got 2 teams u onlypay 25 to cover there games on same day if they both home so its 12.50 each game

The difference between RCT and Merthyr is that Merthyr Council has/had Biffa and Millar Argent annual funding for community projects and this was one area which money was moved to help the kids keep a healthy lifestyle.

Have to agree with MJ. People in Wales keep voting Labour because it's tradition and Labour keeps Wales below average on everything Labour has an input into.

I'm not labour - but what a load of bollocks.

Public sector has been smashed to bits by both Tory national and labour local
Poor management.

It's only going to get worse with Osbourne in charge
He doesn't want a public sector or NHS.

Trouble is we need them both in our communities

If Tories only won seats in poor areas and labour only won richer areas, then roles would be exactly reversed.

Fuckin Tories

Fuckin Labour

Mate with the greatest of respect you know f**k all about community funding in Merthyr and by the way it has nothing to do with George Osbourne, the Tories or central government. Merthyr has local funding from Biffa Waste and Millar Argent because of the toxic waste tips and one of the biggest opencast coal mines in Europe. This is given out annually and distributed amongst the wards in the council boundaries which is then put to local projects and organisations. During every four years in the last council a percentage of the annual handouts went to cover the increasing fees however now Labour is back in they don't do it anymore and put it towards other things.

That is the only reason why teams are been handed such high charges and nothing else. You vote in Labour locally an all they know is tax and spend

Thank you for the insight and the politeness of your response!

Im from RCT and know full well the corruption in the valleys and the waste of millions of euro ££££s
On ill advised, badly planned and plain chesting thats gone on.

I also know the pressure that councils and certain departments are under on one hand, while other departments waste their budget on the other.
I understand that middle and senior management are salaried by how much they spend and not how much they save. there is very little incentive for efficiency.

The efficient parts are often under funded and understaffed.
A right wing method is not the answer same as a left wing - liberals are just a rotten salad.

The whole way councils are funded internally needs addressing.
I still think both Tories and Labour are cunts though :D

You deserve even more insults because you still don't get it do you!!! lol

RCT have not got the kind of local community funding provided by private companies like Merthyr has with Biffa and Miller Argent agreements.

If you want to debate about this issue with me then do your f*cking homework and stop with the anti-political rant because you are talking here to someone who actually voted to donate community funding to grass-routes football in Merthyr and personally sponsored 5 teams out of my council income ffs!!!
