OWNERS OFTEN GET INVOLVED WITH TRANSFERS.

Wed May 20, 2015 10:23 pm

So why should our club be any different.

I agree Tan is not a football man but neither is Huw Jenkins or Roman Abramovich and many more owners who have the final say on transfer dealings.

We do though need an experienced man on board with football knowledge i agree, but as for owners involvement in transfer dealings when they put the money in then i dont see the problem.

Do you think Laudru signed, Emnes and Ngog andMonk wanted Gomis and Montero, no chance and thats a fact.

Huw Jenkins has his club running through his veins
A football brain
And good people around him

We have one with L plates, 6 point turns and going from 1st to fifth then reverse!

Well our fans slate Tan for it and the point im making is its not only our club it happens at, and yes they sign the f*cking cheques but most have the final say on transfers to thats another point.

You do not necessarily need to be a football expert to make transfers happen. Tan needed to be a recruitment expert, bringing in quality staff, scouting team etc.

There is little faith from fans that he has put any kind of structure in place where potential signings are vetted properly. Indeed, the transfer panel consists of non-footballing minds with Slade the only one who can scout players adequately. (yes I just praised Slade) :laughing6:

Thats true Dai,but at least most of them know what football is about :thumbright: They dont think a goalie should be scoring goals or the painter and decorator should be chief scout etc etc

And most of all they dont strip the fans club of what really matters to them, the identity :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Im not sticking up for Tan because i want him gone asap to, but where there is negativity about our clubs transfer policy etc i am only stating that its similar at many clubs for the owner to have the final say :thumbright:
