" Surely Cardiff Could learn from these? "

Tue May 19, 2015 5:17 pm

About 17 Championship clubs out of 24 situated the away fans next to the home fans last season. Surely our club should consider doing this to create a better atmosphere?

I'm only young and love a great atmosphere and fans singing it's the best part of the game :bluescarf:

What do you think?

Mason, Clubs like Derby,Forest and Boro etc realised this and have changed it all around to do this and boy the atmosphere at all 3 grounds has increased dramatically. :ayatollah:

Nash says it would cost an extra £40,000 a match in police bills.
I personally believe, with CCTV,Good stewarding,Police Spotters etc, within weeks any idiots would soon not misbehave.
The majority of Championships clubs do this now,so they cant be wrong :thumbright: :thumbright:

Our stadium is dead and we need to act ASAP.

Palace, have allowed their fans to act like proper Ultras and fair play fantastic :thumbright: :thumbright: City would never allow our fans to have big banners/flags and the jumping around etc.

Surely all clubs sit away fans next to the home fans? Unless they have a separate stand/stadium for them?

Wayne nash is full of crap with same old excuses, the current stadium setup was mainly his idea and he doesnt want it changed, a simple barrier between the stands solves the problem, at 40 grand a game to police that amounts to just under a million, other clubs surely aint paying this every season?

Apart from the obvious.... Home fans are next to away fans. It is not going to happen.

The clubs that do it can trust their fans. We on the other hand are not trusted by our club due to past idiocy.

The past is the past but the club don't see it like that.

Going back to the obvious..... Home fans are next to away fans, people just have to move to the relevant block if there is room.

Oddly the supposed noisy fans bought tickets in the Canton End as far away from the away fans as possible. Why is that?

Wayne, Boro especially were much worse than us years ago,Forest and Derby were also bad years ago, but at some stage we all have to move forward and they have, club and fans. Us fans have certainly proved ourselves over the last 5 years :thumbright: :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The Club ain't going to do it, they and especially Wayne Nash will never allow it in fact they are not out to improve the atmosphere but to destroy it even further. And the idiots wonder why our club are plummeting faster than a concrete slab chucked off the Eiffel Tower.

Re: " Surely Cardiff Could learn from these? "

So much tosh talked about this. A better atmosphere will come from more exiting football and a team challenging for something. Doesn't matter where the so called singers etc locate themselves, poor entertainment equals dull atmosphere. Lots of talk on here but no evidence from the on-line ticket site of many season tickets being bought in 116.

Appreciate what you are saying but there's plenty of footage on youtube of continental teams with amazing atmospheres where the away fans are not placed next to the home "end". Bottom line is.....WE JUST DON'T SING ANYMORE.

We are different than continental fans,as they use flairs/smoke bombs etc to get it going, and I honestly believe we would sing, loud and clear if fans were next to each other, its proven at other League clubs :thumbright: :thumbright:

Wez, We dont have to go back to the Ninian Park days and Nash wont be there forever.

The average family dont go week in week out, like single blokes/Woman/teenagers do.

One day I do see it happening.

Wez, You need to be there to believe it,sit down, sit down, stop looking at away fans, many thrown out last season, for virtually nothing.

Agree Wez, City fans these days have lost the passion, there's no excuses, if they want to be near the away fans to create an atmosphere there is now plenty of room in 116, enough for 400

I fully agree the atmosphere should be there no matter where the away fans are. There is an argument that even if the atmosphere was re-created it could be improved even more by moving home fans and away fans closer to each other.

Looking at this from the clubs point of view they might say we were told that the rebrand killed the atmosphere and returning us to Blue would solve the problem. Half a season on and changing back to blue has made next to no difference to the atmosphere and they can further point to season ticket sales have also been poor.

So if we (the club) move the home end to the Grange End at a cost of £40,000 per match (I personally don't believe that figure but I accept there will be a cost element to the club) would do nothing to stimulate the atmosphere but would increase our running costs.

Therefore there needs to be some progress by home fans (i.e. SING MORE as pointed out by moonboots) and create an atmosphere at CCS before they can have legitimate position for relocation.
