How come Giggsy never got a send off like this when he retired??? Giggs is the greatest player to have ever played in the Premier League, in my opinion. The records that he set at Man Utd will never ever be equalled, let alone beaten. Giggsy is or was the greatest player to have ever been produced by this country, as in Great Britain. He should still be playing week in and week out for Man Utd right now, if it wasn't for David Moyes. Who basically made Giggs' last season at Man Utd hell, as he hardly picked him for the squad the last half of the 13/14 season. When he was given a chance he ran the show for Man Utd, I remember a stat about Giggs not being picked for around 2 months but then he was picked for a Champions League game and he was the best player on the park, by a mile. I think Giggs would have played on during the 14/15 season and then he may have finally retired at the end of the season, which would have been next week. Especially if Louis Van Gaal or anybody else apart from Moyes had of been in charge of Man Utd last season. I don't think Moyes liked Giggs whatsoever and I'm not sure why, cause surely Moyes would have brought Giggsy closer to him and used his knowledge of all things Man Utd. Moyes got rid of a lot of the Man Utd back room staff, many of whom who knew the club inside out and who could have helped him and replaced them with his old Everton staff, which was totally the wrong decision and one of the reasons why he failed at Man Utd. He stupidly tried to replicate the same formulae - that he had so successfully used at Everton - at Man Utd, which was never going to work. As the two Clubs are so totally different and each season the two clubs aim for two different objectives. Man Utd's aim was to win the title and Everton's is and always has been for them to try and finish above Liverpool or sometimes for them to try and qualify for European football. Just saying!!

Bloooooobirds.

Isn't he still a big part of the Manchester united setup? First team coach or something? That might be the reason why he didn't have a big send off. Also Paul scholes deserved a similar send off imo, but his retirement got over shadowed by the retirement of Alex Ferguson. I think if giggs decided to leave Manchester united like gerrard has done, then there would have been a similar fuss made for him. I know man united fans voted him their greatest ever player not so long ago, which is some accolade when you consider the amount legends they've had play for them over the years
