I obviously need to get out more but this gets up my nose. Its been going on for some little while now. You get a great looking shirt from the front, it might be striped, halved or quartered, but its plain on the back and it just detracts from the look of the shirt. In my opinion it looks plain daft. Its probably to do with accomodating the number on the reverse but with imagination Im sure this can be achieved without spoiling the effect of the shirt. It used to be done years ago. Anyone know if its a FIFA ruling or something and am I the only one who doesnt like this style?

Might be to make it easier for referees to identify which players were involved in something.

I'm sure it's to do with the F.A or someone like that, make players easier to identify
