Cardiff City weighing up a move for former Bosnia international Senijad Ibricic. The 29-year-old midfielder, who made 42 appearances for Bosnia before calling time on his international career last summer, is currently on loan Macedonian side FK Vardar from Turkish club Kayseri Erciyesspor.
He has a year left on his contract with Erciyesspor, but is free to leave as the Turkish club are in dire financial straits.
Ibricic has caught the attention of the Championship side who had him watched on several occasions towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

On his wiki page he is labelled as more of an attacking midfielder, literally know nothing about him and have no idea of what type of player he is. Lokomotiv Moscow was his biggest club he played for. Scored 4 goals in 42 apps for Bosnia

This better not be a Tans signing if it goes through.

That depends if he does well or not.
If he does well it might even turn out to be a Malky suggested signing from when he was here dossier and all.

If we sign him and he is left out like Guerra Burgstaller and Velikonja then we will know and i hope Tan doesnt players that the manager is not going to use its just a waste of money.

A terrible signing, if your playing in the Macedonian league at 29 years old, and his contract is with a Turkish club I have never heard of, then I am sorry this is the cackiest rumour so far. If he signs, is brilliant, I might jump off a cliff to see what free-falling is like.

That's what I was thinking. Nothing like getting behind a player from the start is there

Some of the replies when a player gets linked are pathetic, like the great news, slade doesn't want him or what ever the thread was titled, when in truth, most of us have not seen enough of Dean Cox to form a proper opinion on him.
What we do know though, is he played in league 1 last season so must be too shit to play for us. Time people realised we won't be splashing money we don't have anymore, and we have even less money now because nobody wants to renew because we have had a dodgy season or 2

1 last thing, I bet the people who want Tan to throw his money around to sign proven players who can also make the step up to the Premier League also want Tan to leave the club

How much do you want to bet?
Fri May 15, 2015 8:24 pm
how can you go from +40 caps for Bosnia, to playing in the Macedonian league at 29

c'mon, somethings not quite right is it. Doesn't make any sense, what happened to him?

Looks to have been a very good player when at Zagreb and Hajduk Split, winning player of the year awards and scoring goals for fun but then his career seems to come to a halt after signing for Lokomotiv Moscow for €7m in 2011.
Good chance that this dual Bosnian and Croatian citizen recommended to Tan through his FK Sarajevo links.
Blackburn and Celtic were interested in him back in 2009

So why didn't we sign him in 2009? Eastern Europe is packet with young talent. Why go shopping for "has beens" with a couple of years left in their careers?

Just looked at him on youtube. I know you cant judge by youtube and people will reply anyone can look good on youtube but he does look a class act on there better than players ive seen on other videos like cornelius for example. Shows a lot of different aspects to his game which looks really good in fairness.
I would welcome this signing because hes exactly the type of player we are missing imo a creative attacking midfielder who can dribble with the ball and chip in with goals, replacement for whitts. Cant be too shabby either being capped for bosnia 40 odd times.

Cardiff City transfer news: Russell Slade considers move for Bosnia star Senijad Ibricic - reports

Bluebirds boss Russell Slade reportedly had the 29-year-old watched numerous times last season, according to reports
Cardiff City are considering a move for former Bosnia international midfielder Senijad Ibricic, Eurosport is reporting.
Bluebirds boss Russell Slade reportedly had the 29-year-old watched numerous times last season and is now weighing up whether to take the plunge as he looks to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new Championship season
Ibricic is currently on loan at Macedoninam side FK Vardar from Turkish outfit Kayseri Erciyesspor. He has one year left on his current contract at Erciyesspor, but with the Turkish club experiencing severe financial problems he has been told he can leave for free as part of a clear-out.
Ibricic has 42 caps for Bosnia, but called time on his international career last summer.
He is considered an aggressive attacking midfielder with an eye for goal.
At former club NK Zagreb he grabbed 22 goals in 99 appearances and at Hajduk Split subsequently he notched up an impressive 35 strikes in 76 games.
In August 2010, Turkish club Galatasaray reportedly offered 7 million euros for him but Hajduk Split refused their advances. In January 2011 he moved to Russia to join Lokomotiv Moscow for the same fee.
One area the Bluebirds struggled in last season was in midfield and Slade is thought to be looking for a ball-carrier to give the Bluebirds some forward momentum during the new campaign.

If we are after a ball carrying midfielder, then surely we should look no further than Jonny Williams from Palace. Who just do not seem to want him, also he would represent great resale value in the future, if he were to join us and produce the goods. Of which I have no doubt that he can be a quality player for us. I think we could get him for a decent fee, in failing that then a Season long loan could be another option. Although, I would prefer it if he were to become a Bluebird permanently. On top of all that, he's Welsh too.
Bloooooobirds.

I dont think jonny williams would work for us a centre midfielder in a 442 personally. Hes a winger or a number 10 imo
