No perspective is earning millions of punds for playing 35 games of 90 minutes - fecking disgusting!

And that's not a go at Bale - that's all footballers.

Lucky I'm not FIFA CEO, every player would be working 5 days a week for that money and in every school teaching the kids about fitness and football inbetween their 2-3 hours of training with their clubs!!! :old: :old:

Bale is playing a much easier league.

There is no way Messi would score 53 goals in a Premier League season. Maybe around 30 as both Ronaldo & Suarez got as high as that one one occasion each.

Re: GARETH BALE

Yeah, can't compare the two leagues. Also, Chelsea and Real Madrid play two entirely different ways. How many times have Real Madrid gone 1-0 up and shut up shop?

I love Bale. Which Welshman doesn't? He needs to leave Real Madrid though.

La Liga is definitely not a much easier league; if anything you could say its harder. Suarez recently came out and said that you got much more space in the prem than you do in Spain, the likes of messi would thrive on that.

As for OPs image, it doesn't put anything into perspective. Hazard plays deeper and makes Chelsea tick, he's barely had a bad game this season. The same can't be said for Bale.

Couldn't care less what Bale does for Real Madrid, or what he did at Tottenham. Just hope that he continues to turn up and perform for Wales.

The same Suarez who has scored more league goals in six months in Spain than he did in his first eighteen months in the Premier League.

Don't get me wrong - Barca, Real, Atletico are far better than anything the PL has to offer but everyone else is far worse position for position.

Re: GARETH BALE

It pains me to say it as a football fan but after watching him last night the real fans are right to boo him. I have never said this about any player before but in my honest opinion he wants out and the only way any team can buy him is that if he decreases his value and I really do think that he's decreasing it deliberately

You can't compare Suarez now with how he was when he first joined the Prem, he became a much better player during his time at Liverpool. If anything, you compare with how he did in his last season where he destroyed teams and almost single handedly mounted a title challenge with an average Liverpool side. Not to mention he has Messi and Neymar and co to help him now, so of course he's going to do better in La Liga.

I personally don't know how you can definitively say everyone bar the big 3 in La Liga are worse then the Prem; it's very hard to compare and judge. All we can really go by is Europe, where Spain is constantly outperforming England in both the Champions League and Europa League.

Suarez scored 35 league goals in 33 games (49 in 48 total) in his last full season at Ajax (09/10). He cost Liverpool almost £25m. He was a star (if for the wrong reasons in the end) of the Uruguay side that made the semi of the World Cup in 2010. He was a proven player and earned plaudits from his debut at Liverpool. Rodgers attacking style gave him more confidence and opportunities to score which is borne in his record under him compared to Dalglish.

English clubs, to my sadness, don't take the Europa League seriously. Having a tougher league in physicality and quality also means that they haven't got as much energy for the midweek European games as other teams.

Having Messi & Neymar is to his detriment at Barca as the goals are more shared out and he is expected to base his game around Messi. At Liverpool he was King and the team played to his strengths.

Surely no-one would argue that Messi would score more goals than games in the PL? There is also no way the likes of Elche, Almeria, Cordoba, Granada, Eibar, Getafe would survive in the PL. They probably wouldn't even challenge at the top of the Championship.

This, I agree with every word. People fail to see that there is a lot more space in the Prem.

I can't agree with that, he seems to be carrying the world on his shoulders. There were a couple of close ups of him last night when he squandered a few chances, he's hurting and his confidence is shot to bits.
The crowd are slating him and the team are not helping, but if he was deliberately playing poorly he wouldn't give a damn and that's clearly not the case.

Re: GARETH BALE

Thu May 14, 2015 7:36 pm

His complete lack of movement last night shows that he doesn't give a damn. People have said to me today that Ronaldo had a shot game too which may have been the case but the difference between their off the ball movement an hunger for the ball was on another level. Fans just want to see their players put effort in and believe me Bale is not even doing that.

That's absolute garbage, he's like a rabbit in the highlights and whilst I accept he might not have Ronaldo's desire and movement, he has been made the scapegoat.
To suggest he is deliberately cocking up or doesn't care is ludicrous. Did you actually watch the game, he had his head in his hands on a few occasions looking like he wanted the ground to swallow him up. He is clearly hurting, I hope his confidence returns soon and he proves his doubters wrong!

Gareth needs to sort out the wearing a cap backwards. It's so uncool meow

Re: GARETH BALE

Now I like Ronaldo, both as a player and a an individual but I get the impression that he was a bit put out when Bale joined, which was accompanied by quite a big media fanfare for various reasons, including the higher value fee.

I get the feeling that as Ronaldo is Portugese, he is seen by Real fans more as 'one of their own", where as Bale is now increasingly being perceived as an outsider.

Love everything about Bale (except that Alice band) and I personally think he should get back to the PL, as I fear the deck is bring stacked against him at the moment. I'm sure he'd want to tough it out but maybe its better to playing in the PL where he is seen as one of our own.

 I'd rather him lose that bleedin Alice band first! Starting to look ridiculous.
As Real have a poor season by their standards and will end up with no trophies I think Bale will be used more and more as a scapegoat.

Did I actually watch the game ? Well yeah I did, I decided to go at 9pm on Tuesday night, caught the National Express to Gatwick at 03.15 from Cardiff, then got the Iberia flight to Madrid at 10.30am, then got to the hotel twit time at 2.30pm. Has a couple of hours sleep before making my way to the ground to buy my ticket, get thee beers in and take in the atmosphere. Total spend £600 and do you think I would do all that and not bother to watch the game ? Lol

That's very much bullshit.

Messi and Ronaldo on their top form playing for Barcelona or Madrid in the Premiership would score as many goals as they do in Soain. Can you imagine Barcelona vs QPR or Burnley? Would be a cricket score.
