" For those City Fans who still believe Russell Slade could or will be sacked soon "

You will be disappointed, Slade is here for at least the next 10 months, unless we lost our opening 10 games in a row.

Slade has been allowed to organise and chose all our pre-season friendlies, organise City's trip to Holland, the training camp etc
Link viewtopic.php?f=2&t=158060 :ayatollah:

Slade has been allowed to chose his main 2 players he wants money for to buy them.

Slade is getting on with Tans orders to drastically reduce the wage bill and that makes Tan very happy.

I am also told that the list of players that Slade & Tan will go through next week(approx 40 to look at) are players that Tan has also put on the list.

Tan knows if he was to sack Slade at this moment in time, a new manager would be more expensive, want his own squad and would want totally his own say.

So, lets just behind our team next season and you just never know, we might just be surprised and improve on this season :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Not news to some but probably an A* for Slade from Tan.The only way he'll go is if were in the mire next Xmas and by that I don't mean 8th-10th.As long as theres a chance of the playoffs he'll stay.

I'm starting to warm to the idea of hungry lower league players, we've tried and failed with the premiership wannabes and it failed miserebly, Bournemouth/Brentford aint done so bad :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Based on the performances over the past 6 months we will be lower half fighting relegation next season.

How many games did we play the opposition off the park? Did we ever look like scoring a shed full of goals? The majority of performances were abysmal.

Slade is clearly going to stay so the only hope is that 3/4 decent players are brought in and performances improve. Based on what we saw over the past 6 months how anyone could say that we will be pushing for promotion. It's great to be positive back at the same time we need to be realistic!

Bournemouth & Brentford players had ambition to be 'premiership wannabes' this season . Ours loving the life as pro footballers, I am sure every club sets out to sign players who aspire to become top players. Clearly, the management teams at the clubs you mentioned know what there doing.

Both clubs have very good managers playing attacking attractive football. We have Slade and we play dire football.

Christ!

Things go from bad to worse!

Not only is the clueless clown Slade staying but now they're looking at players on a list that Tan has had a hand in drawing up. :o :o :o :o

So all of you hoping for some talented, hungry young players for next season are relying upon the combined football knowledge of Slade AND Tan to find these superstars.

It's got shambles written all over it.

Again.

Totally agree mate i'm not saying Slade is the answer as he's probably not but he was given mission impossible last season coming in with the attitude of the squad he inherited and our owner, all we can do is back him and judge him on his first 10 games, Orient scored 85 goals under Slade in their play off season only 4 short of the then champions Wolves so maybe he can play attacking football given thr chance? :ayatollah:

You have got more chance of meeting the pope than the football on offer improving :sladeout:

RS is going to be under immense pressure to win and in style in every game, if he has not achieved that in his first 10 games he will feel the pressure and the club will be looking at attendances of under 5000 :digging2:

Yes the club will keep him for next season and then realise the stadium is empty :sladeout:

The roller coaster is on the down hill :sladeout:

That is true, Orient did have a very good season under him with next to nothing as a budget, and as you stated, were high scoring which is hard to believe now! The football has to improve massively :ayatollah:

I've been sceptical over Slade. But do you know what?

This is good news, this means stability, Slade now has the entire summer to rebuild the squad how HE (hopefully) wants.

Sad, but true...and for £100k per annum with no real responsibility it ain't a bad number, TBH! ;)

Annis - Totally past caring.

I'll watch out for results, may attend 10 home games (and save money!), may even start to go away again a few times but a one game wonder against Forest (who were shit for weeks before) is not a turning point, nor is the constant cheap Div 1 players coming in, it all smacks of a long season mid to low table again.

If Slade showed some balls and got rid of the hangers on, who've been in the club longer than soem of the experts on here watching city (!!!! :digging2: ) then we may stand a chance of improving but for me and many others, the 35 year love affair is over and we have come to our senses, money doesn;t grow on trees anymore, and if you have it, you spend it on something you enjoy doing - even if it is the pub watching sky sports soccer saturday (£30 on beer or £30 watching shite down the library)?

Less than 5k in season tickets, says it all really but at least it's slowly creeping up. Until we get football men in running the club, we are going to be stagnant, the championship is getting harder and harder, we'll struggle against most sides with the players we have and style chosen to play.

I hope I'm proved wrong, I'll have my annual £10 on going up and £20 on play-offs but that is more fun than paying £30 to watch them! :old: :old: :old:

Bad news for me but not unexpected.
Let's hope Tan has a good eye for new players. Perhaps he wants a new goalkeeper who will shoot more often.

Good and its now down to our fan base to get behind the team and stop the moaning. I can understand anyone who has not renewed because of economic reasons, but those who claim they are not renewing because the football has never been so bad are simply using a "dog ate my homework" excuse to jump ship because there is no glory at present to be hunted.

I would love it if this season we were to make another Cup Final. You can just to hear the whinging from ex-season ticket holders who can't get a ticket because current season ticket holders are given 2 or 3.
