Still a very poor figure considering how many renewed last year.
Can understand why others haven't though.
As you know Annis, it takes a large amount of my earnings to go to any match but in the end it was a no brainier for me

Neil Hasson Those who have renewed should have loyal supporter on front of their card or non plastic. You had it spot on. You support your club through the bad times as well. City till I die.

4500 is not a good figure but when you think we were struggling to get 3000 couple weeks ago at least it is slowly going up and think it will continue to rise slowly to about 7 or 8 000

starting to miss it already

What no one is factoring in is that last season when season tickets went on sale we were still in the prem with a good chance of staying up. People wanted to make sure they didn't risk losing their chance to renew and miss out on a season in the prem. This season there is no threat of that and there was no chance of promotion so why rush to renew. I know People that will renew in August. No rush at all. I expect we will sell a lot more by the beginning of the season. Judge it then. Don't compare.

Its improving thats what matters now
But your right Kieron its not good, but just maybe Wez might get that 10,000 figure for next season?
Would still be over 6,500 down though.

I'm still surprised and disappointed that our support has turned out to be so fickle! Granted, we have had some shit to put up with, but now we have our pride back and, even with the boring brand of football, we are not a million miles away from the top six. I don't buy all this feeling let down etc etc, I thought we had at least 10k who would follow through the thin times as well as the thick

With that figure , no wonder some people in advertising and marketing have apparently lost their jobs.

i renewed straight away. ill be honest i did have doubts as season got nearer to the end as i wasnt enjoying it. but im starting to miss it allready and cant work out what im gonna do on a saturday afternoon now !
like they say, u dont see how much u miss it till its gone

I will consider it a good number if we hit 8,000.
It is obvious we have gone back 10 years under Tan. If we hit 8,000 that is pre FA cup sales. However that included a large number of die hard fans who have left us over the re brand and will not come back. These are not one or two numbers but I believe it is over a thousand. I think we will do well to hit 6,500.

Will be interesting to see some actual attendances next year instead of the ridiculous number announced each game. Will give us an indication of where we are. 15,000 average attendance next year imo. 9,000 ST's
Thats my guess anyway.
Tue May 12, 2015 6:37 am
It's all because last season they were in the premiership and at the beginning of the season were favourites to go back up . Sadly it's to do with success however 4500 loyal supporters hopefully it will rise for the club but we had a poor season but agree Annie the last 15 years have been amazing when you think where we have been in the 80 and 90s
Tue May 12, 2015 7:33 am
Renewed before the deadline then moved over to 114 to get a better view after most round us in 112 weren't stopping.
One good thing for us is we get better seats near halfway now, so when we are back on the up and demand increases we will be flicking the Vs at the plastics sitting in our old seats!!!

I couldn't imagine what I would do if I gave up on City
4500 is good considering how low the renewal figures were only weeks ago

Cost of a season ticket is approximately the same price as 2 pints of beer per week.
So it's a good idea to get one and improve your health too
Tue May 12, 2015 5:31 pm
believe it or not this is my first season buying a ticket and i didn't even think twice about buying one. Although we all want

we need to support the lads

I've been watching 'City since 1971, solidly since 1981 and, until 10 years ago, I never had a season ticket. I didn't need one (as I could always stand/sit with my mates and none of these had season tickets either) and I could always get tickets to away games.
Again, next season I won't need one plus work means that I miss 9 - 10 games each season so there's little financial incentive to buy one. I will, however, attend every game that I can get to.
There is a theme running through this 'Board that suggests that anyone not renewing next season isn't a loyal fan.
I'm not renewing but am a loyal fan - happy to debate....

I agree, that I nor anyone I knew had a season ticket in the 80s or 90s, yet we went to most games as a group of mates, however what is different is that the club have had 15 years of relative success to build a solid season ticket base. We were absolute shit in those days so why would anyone even commit to the club! That's whats disappointing for me, that we still don't seem to have that solid base of supporters, I'm frankly surprised by it
