Priced Out Of Striker Move

Cardiff dont want him,Bolton want him,but money is the problem?

Adam Le Fondre doesn't look to have a Cardiff future and he's already said that he would like to make a permanent move to Bolton but this is looking unlikely due to the fee his parent club would want.

Neil Lennon is quoted by Wales Online as saying that talks are ongoing to make this possible, with him the type of player we would want and need, but at the same time we'll not be willing to spend millions to make it happen.

'I think there are talks ongoing, yes, but whether it materialises or not I cannot say at this stage. I'll leave that to the people behind the scenes.

'It would be welcome, obviously, it would be helpful. But we don't want to go down the road of throwing millions at it and it not working out. You need a certain type of player in the Championship to be successful.'

Cardiff are willing to let the 28-year-old leave, otherwise why would they have loaned the former Reading striker to us in the first place? Given the number of players they allowed to leave as part of 'cost cutting' measures themselves this season adds to the likelihood he'll leave.

But Cardiff manager Russell Slade has also spelt out that he'll not be given away with them keen to recoup as much of the reported £3m fee they paid to sign him as possible, which if this doesn't happen no matter how much he might want to move on, as he didn't settle in Wales, he'll be back for pre-season with them.

'Nobody's going to steal him for nothing that's for sure.

'Adam feels he didn't really settle in Cardiff, but he's still our player and he'll be training with us come June 25 if nothing materialises.'

This one could drag on couldn't it, but given the fee that would be asked you tend to feel that it's a move elsewhere that would be most likely this summer....

Or QPR to replace Charlie Austin but doubt they are going to splash the cash now.

What are the thoughts on a cash plus Jermaine Beckford deal?

That's not a bad shout. He will be a lot cheaper than Charlie who will go to a mid-table PL side in my opinion.

QPR will still make money on that deal if it happens.

What do Bolton expect? All they want is a quality player on the cheap.

If they had spent 2.5m-3m on him you can guarantee that they would not want to sell him for peanuts. It looks like that Le Fondre wants to go so they expect to pick him up for nothing.

Since £ isnt a problem for these so called professionals, and they earn in 2 weeks what most normal people do in a year, Le Fondre buys himself out of the contract??? Give us £1.5m Alf and fk off perhaps?

Maybe his thought should have thought about it when he signed for us!
