i'm proud of the parts of Wales that voted Tory instead

Fri May 08, 2015 5:20 pm

I am proud of the parts of Wales that switched from Labour or Lib Dems to Tory. It was Vale of Clwyd, Cardiff North, Brecon and Gower that the Tories snatched from Labour or Lib Dems. This is great to see the people there waking up to the Labour Party and its betrayal of the people. The Tories are by no means perfect, but there is no doubt about it, if you go up and down the country areas under Tory governance are doing much better than dumps under Labour governance. Labour has betrayed the Welsh. It has left the education system in tatters, child poverty has increased and money is wasted on vanity projects all over the place just to spend it for the sake of it.

Labour has betrayed Wales and has let it slip behind whilst the Tories have helped improve England. It is nice to see so little of that Labour red in Wales. Wales must move on from its hatred of Thatcher and what happened otherwise it'll be forever stuck in the past, with a Labour party firmly keen on keeping Wales in the past with lower standards.

Wales, now due to the plurality of parties in Wales and the increase in debate, will move forward and will not be held back for much longer.

Although I agree Welsh people need to wake up and not vote based on age old opinions, I really dont see the Tories as a positive to Wales.

We are a poor country, based of poor industries.

As ive said, the next 5 years will see the poorest punished once again. Punished for the actions of a few rich people.

Labour influenced the crash, but they were not the only cause. The Tories would never have regulated the banks and the exact same would have occured.

This Labour government maybe would have been too left wing in the modern world. But personally id rather see britain lag behind on the world stage and look after the poorest.

The tories will create a bully society. They only speak in monetary terms. We bring little benefit to their grand capitalist utopia, and the next 5 years will see zero progress in wales.

But personally I will benefit from the tories being in power. But how important is money when they make those welfare cuts?.

But who knows, maybe we are starting something special.

What I have noticed is the number of tories id be happy leading the country. Boris Theresa Osbourne Gove etc etc etc

Apart from Chuka Umuna I see no others from labour that would do anything

I thought the banks were strictly regulated by the Bank of England until Gordon Brown decided to create the FSA to regulate them instead.

More left wing and more liberal. Labour, regardless of what they want you to believe, are a centre-right authoritarian party.

They didn't snatch Cardiff North from anyone.

Not quite tits up as it won them 3 elections in a row.

Blair and gang stole the central part of the Conservatives and it has taken the British public a decade to realise that hence why the Tories managed a majority this time.

Re: i'm proud of the parts of Wales that voted Tory instead

Nothing new under the sun. The Tories had fourteen seats in Wales in 1983, including Cardiff West, Central, and North, Bridgend, Newport West, etc. They have always had the second highest number of votes in Wales.

England is not completely Tory either. Most of the larger cities are governed by Labour.

Great result for Wales.

Tories realise that they still need Wales and its achievable.
Labour kicked up the arse for taking us for granted for soooo long

The tories have a chance to erase 30 years of pain for them, lets see if they blow it.

I believe the tories will do a lot with semi federalism and kill the Celtic nation vote on devolved issues, and rightly so.

The celtic nations have had the penny and the bun

Smell the coffee blueminati.

Tories don't give two fucks about this country.

So while they spin the media to make us people argue on spongers, cheats, immigration, deficit, too much government spending etc.
They have actually kept immigration high, increased government deficit and cut services to kill our communities.

Where's the money gone?
Well
It's to keep bribing dictators and poking our nose in countries where the Tories themselves make money out of buying and seling weapons, oil and minerals.

All us rats can argue with each other and blame each other while we all pay into the machine to make money for the rich.
Expect more low wages, more foreign workers and less chance s for our own young people.

Did you know that we have the most millionaires in government than we ever had.

We will reap what we have sown here.

A Welshman voting Tory = a thick tunnel visioned sheep man. (And no I'm not a labour guy) in fact, none of them have got the right balance for economy, sustainability and community.

Isn't all we want - decent jobs, decent transport, decent education, decent level of tax we pay, decent health, decent communities and decent support services when we need them? Plus, bums getting off their arse, benefit for workers not shirkers, slow down of immigration and respect to the UK from any c**t who comes here along with the rich paying their fair share of tax in UK instead of Isle of Man, Monaco and Switzerland?

There are far more millions Being robbed from the treasury by accountants for the rich than by bums and foreigners cheating our system.

It's the people who vote Labour have held people back, and they are still in denial. However when the Tory cuts hits Wales and there is no money in the economy business in Wales may wish to think again, Wales can only live in one economy and it isn't the South East of England. Once we control our public sector and benefits with local terms and conditions Wales can go forward.
