Pencil vs the Black biro

Fri May 08, 2015 11:08 am

I voted yesterday like many on here, can anyone explain to me why I was given a pencil to cast my vote? When doing any other type of government document it's always a black biro, so thinking back I found the experience quite odd.

And secondly, Nigel Farage should be afforded representation in the big house as UKIP votes overwhelm SNP who have > 50 MPs.

What a bizarre couple of days

12% for one seat..

I'm not a supporter of UKIP at all but this election further shows how proportional representative would be a fairer method of voting. Labour have the majority in Wales and London, SNP have the majority in Scotland but we're going to be run by a Tory government. It doesn't make any sense.

That is a shocking statistic, I hope all voters would agree that for 12% of the overall vote, 1 MP is an unjust representation for the 12%

Also a lot of people didnt vote ukip knowing that they wouldnt get in. A straight race would of been interesting.
