Personally, I'm glad to see this. Hope he sticks to it.

I totally agree, Boxing is my second sport and so many Boxing Greats have made come backs and in my Opinion they have only gone down hill, except of course "ALI" BUT THEN HE WAS THE GREATEST OF GREATEST :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I think Joe`s wise enough and hopefully wealthy enough to adhere to this decision. Like your good self Annis boxing is great love of mine, very few come back successfully George Foreman is the only one I can think of. Even Ali (my all time hero and idol) made the mistake of coming back against Larry Holmes in 1980 and got badly beaten. Ali only did it for the money, I remember watching it, and feeling physically sick, as the old Ali would have beaten Holmes, not easily though as Holmes was a very underestimated boxer in my opinion.

Some fantastic Welsh boxers from history too.

Especially if you read up on the ones that fought in the 30s and 40s.

They used to fight to put bread and water on their familes table and could get into the ring upto 250 times in their career, aswell as working down the mines, on ships etc.

Some great stories and books about :ayatollah:
