Barrie McAuliffe and good riddances big headed and ate even a City fan

It's funny I was thinking about him before I clicked on this.

He even ate a Cardiff fan?

Always thought Barrie was ok he takes a lot of crap from our crying fans the moment we go a goal down, given the way our lot moan I wouldn't want to do that for a living.

He won't be missed.

Wasn't expecting that was only in a meeting with him down the club a fortnight ago ,good luck to him I hope he has a good future somewhere ,I have known him down the club for a good few years and class him as a friend.

Any news when Nash is going .Sooner the better

Never knew Barrie but I can't imagine his job was very easy. Received criticism for not speaking out against his employees but think that's a bit harsh. I wouldn't be able to tell you if he was good or bad at his job. Given what the club has been through recently that might be considered more of a compliment than a criticism!

Providing photography to the club I have got to know Barrie quite well over the last few years.

Barrie was, of course, paid by an employer to do a job and I guess this was always difficult when (a) you support the club and (b) want to talk about the club to friends and family but cannot discuss certain matters because of confidentiality.

I am more than happy to go on record as saying, in my opinion, he is a top guy. As a person he always appeared genuine and friendly. As an employee of the club he had many roles. I would see him in the media room at 12 midday. He was always looking to help people out where he could. He made sure the radio/written press had everything they needed and he did so with a smile.

When I tended to leave the ground, at 6:30 - 7.00, Barrie was still there concentrating on his job and ensuring that the CCFC Media Operation continued to tick over in the later hours.

I dont know the reason why Barrie is leaving but personally I am sad to hear that he is leaving. He is someone who devoted a lot of his time to the club and perhaps more time than perhaps some may give him credit for.

Barrie I know you read this MB. Thanks for everything. Its because of you that I am now photographing Premiership Football!

He was on the first city message board. remember when he told us that Julian Jenkins had offered him a post, quite a few of the city employees were on it, wonder what happened to some of the other posters on there, some are on here I know, but where are ace69 the bogmonster,charlie blue and babs I wonder.
