Adam Le Fondre to leave Cardiff after failing to settle
RUSSELL SLADE says Cardiff are prepared to cut their losses and listen to offers for Adam Le Fondre.
Daily Mail
Adam Le Fondre can leave Cardiff City
Thurs 7th May 2015
The striker moved to the Welsh capital from Reading last summer to link up with his boyhood hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But the switch quickly turned sour as Le Fondre was played out of position prior to Solskjaer’s sacking, and he scored just three goals before Slade sent him on loan to Bolton.
However, the 28-year-old, who has two years left on his Cardiff contract, has flourished under Neil Lennon, scoring eight goals in 16 appearances for the Trotters.
Slade had insisted he wanted Le Fondre back in south Wales next season, but with the former Rochdale man keen to remain in the north-west near his young family, Cardiff are willing to let him leave for the right money, with Wanderers the striker’s preferred destination.
Slade said: “I have had some frank and honest discussions with Adam. He has been unsettled.
“I have not had any contact from Bolton or Neil Lennon after his loan spell but I know for sure his agent is trying to work out something between the clubs.
“Adam feels he did not really settle in Cardiff. Nobody is going to steal him for nothing, that’s for sure. We’ll see what happens there.

I think Le Fondre, with the right manager will be a prolific scorer.

Had chance after chance with us. Couldn't hit a barn door. Not the manager's fault that Annis.

Lets just accept that he would not settle at Cardiff, no individual managers fault, just down to the player, after all if he couldn't score goals for his boyhood hero (OGS) whilst here, then it wasn't going to work for anyone else

Initially, I wanted him to stay, but now (after taking the Cardiff coin with no apparent 'issues') he can clear off!
This, for me, says he didn't put the effort in!
Byeeeee!
