' Looks like Cardiff Fans get what they want '

Cardiff City are trying to arrange a testimonial game for Kevin McNaughton who joined the club from Aberdeen in 2006. :thumbright: :thumbright:

Manager Russell Slade said: ''He [McNaughton] seemed a great lad, he's been a great servant to the club and that was reflected in the letter he had from the club yesterday."

I hope Mark Hudson may be invited back in the testimonial match for SuperKev, so that the fans can give him the send-off he deserved.

Surely that would be a professional courtesy to invite him, a club captain for 5 years. Indeed, more professional than insinuating he scored an own goal on purpose at Molineux and giving him 3 days notice to find a club within the transfer window.

Testimonials are normally after ten years ,kev done 9 years so good on the club for allowing it

Good news. The club should be actively doing this as a matter of course. Hudson should also be there plus a few other notables who exited without a proper send off. :bluebird: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Great news. Would be very interested to see who he gets in. I managed Aberdeen on FM in 2003 when he was just coming through and there were a load of other players like Darren Young, Roberto Bisconti, and Peter Kjaer that I wouldn't mind seeing play live to reminisce on those old FM days. Think it might have still been called Championship Manager back then too!

I heard that Hudson was involved in Textgate and that's why he was shipped out at such short notice. If true, I can't see Tan inviting him back any time soon. How we desperately needed his leadership on the pitch this season.

Excellent!

Oh Kevin McNaughton you are the love of my life.....

Let's hope the fans support it for once then as usually the turnout for such games is embarrassingly low and Kev deserves a full house!

This would be fantastic, would love to see the likes of Chops, Bothroyd, Hudson, McPhail etc to play one last game together for one of the biggest legends in recent history :ayatollah:

The owner/chairman doesn't invite players to come to a testimonial match.
Traditionally the player decides the format & decides who to invite.
