I thought that players that haven't had much of a chance rally came to tye fire yesterday. O Keefe was solid, Turner and Morisson were incredible and they can do a solid job next season.
With one or two signings we could have a very strong team that are willing to work in front of 12000 fans who support their club through thick and thin.
This could he our team next year:
Gk- Moore- Proved yesterday that he can cut it at this level. Made some wonderful saves when under pressure.
RB- Peltier- Probably still has Antonio in his pocket. Solid display and he has barely put a foot wrong since joking. Certainly one of Slade's better signings.
CB- Turner- No-one can question his defensive ability and him and Morisson look like they could forge a greatartnership.
CB- Morrison- Not everyone's cup of tea but calm on the ball and good in the air. Would not be a disaster if he left but I think he could do a good job.
LB- Connolly- I would love too see Fabio stay, but I think it's unrealistic. Connolly is solid and has proved that he has what it takes to do well in the championship. Every team in the league would want him in their squad for his experience.
CM- Gunnarsson- If anyone in this team deserved their high wage, I would pick Gunnars. Always gives his all and has steel and ability that will be vital.
CM- Ralls- We must keep this lad. What a season he has had. I feel slightly bad saying it but I woudk play him instead of Whitts.
CM- O Keefe- Tough tackling player who played well yesterday. Not shown immense promise but can do the job.
ST- Doyle- I had my doubts after his first few games but once he settled he is playing well and his record this season shows that he can be prolific. If we can give him service he could be a big hit, I think.
ST- Guerra- This one could be a bit far-fetched but I woudk love to see a player of his quality at the club. He can score goals in Spain, so why not in the Championship. If he wants to play for us, they're is no reason why he can't have. A future here.
ST- Mason/Revell- Don't think either of these two will be prolific but they are both a nuisance. Would probably prefer Mason but I feel we need a big man in their. A new striker could make all the difference.
I think if we make a good start this team can do well next year. Should be a better atmosphere with the premier league fans gone and Stringfellow's fantastic singing area idea. I'm going to be positive. We are back in blue, Adidas are making our kit and we have beaten teams like Brentford, Forest and Leeds on the road next year. We have possible derby games against Swindon and Bristol City to look forward to. Can't wait for next season!
