Positives from today

Sat May 02, 2015 9:07 pm

We played some good football.
I thought our back 4 were excellent Peltier took the ball off Antonio time after time.
Turner looked like he'd never been out, Morroson won everything and Fanio was superb again.
Lots of movement and good passing up front and midfield.
If it wasn't for Marshall's sending off we would have won comfortably.
Sometimes felt Doule and then Revell had some poor touches, but apart from that it was all good today.

Well done to the traveling support today.
Excellent again

Tbh Tim that was not just the best we have played but streets ahead what we have produced this season.

I think today we might see Whittingham become an impact player of the bench next season. The midfield look a lot more challenging and determined. Unless we play 5 across I cannot see him making the starting line up much.

Antonio look Forest most dangerous player today. I would say it was 50/50 between him and Pelter.

The defence was solid today. They put in some serious blocks when we went down to 10 men. That was the only time Forest look threatening. Our defence look good because the Forest attack has been poor some will say. I have got to disagree with that because that Forest attack got no where and they had quite a lot of possession.

A few performances like that at the start of next season and we might start believing again.

Ian.
One of the boys said the same about Antonio, but I made a point of watching the dual as I was very interested in this he would get on v a very good opponent and Antonio was lucky to stay on the amount of times he ended up kicking out at Peltier.
Given he's their player of the season it was a very good performance from Peltier after a rare poor one v Blackpool

Ian, given the Manager we are blessed with the odds on Whittingham being benched are about as long as those for Slade sprouting an Afro hair style :sladeout:

Why didn't Whitts & Manga make the matchday squad
