" Cardiff City boss Russell Slade tells fans they are yet to see the best of him as he celebrates win "
Defiant Russell Slade has told Bluebirds fans they are yet to see the best of his managerial capabilities after watching his side grab a morale-boosting final day victory at Nottingham Forest
Cardiff earned a top-half finish after beating Nottingham Forest 2-1, and Slade says there are bigger and better things to come

Cardiff earned a top-half finish with their win courtesy of two first-half goals inside ten minutes from Joe Ralls and Eoin Doyle, David Marshall's sending off failing to prompt a Forest comeback despite Dexter Blackstock's late strike.
And Slade was not only adamant his side have laid foundations for a realistic promotion push after the summer break, but that Cardiff fans are yet to see the real him.
The former Leyton Orient boss has come under increasing scrutiny after a disappointing campaign and has had to front up to questions over whether he is the right man to carry the club forward.
But as he again claimed that the club could have followed the likes of others to fall further down the divisions after Premier League relegations, he insisted he has more to offer.
“We haven't seen the true me or the true Cardiff City under me,” said Slade, whose team finished the season in 11th, 16 points off the top six.
“It's fair to ask that question but I'm sure with more movement in the summer and a pre-season where we can know each other's strengths and weaknesses more we will be better.
“We know fans will want to see a real promotion push next season but so do the players and so do I.
“We are regrouping as a football club. We have stabilised and I know stability isn't a word people want to hear but sometimes you have to do that. We've seen Wigan go through the trap door, Wolves have gone through it in the past, the Sheffield clubs, Coventry, Portsmouth. People think things can't get worse sometimes but, trust me, in this game it can.
“We've stopped that decline and now it's time to regroup, we have an important summer and it's time to move forward.”
Cardiff could do with more of the kind of football offered in the first-half as Ralls opened on 14 minutes before Doyle headed home a second ten minutes later with some pleasing passing football played.
“We seem to move the ball better away from home and we were quite ruthless with the goals that both came from good moves,” said Slade. “There's possibly a few reasons why we seem to be better away from home but we do find the space a bit better.
“There is a growing unity and togetherness and we showed that and showed we wanted it a little bit more to win the game.”
Slade opted against hitting out at Marshall for his moment of madness, but did suggest the Scot will be sorry for his actions.
“He's made a mistake and seen the red mist and it's probably one of those you regret minutes or hours layer,” he said after Marshall was dismissed for putting his head into Jamaal Lascelles.
“There's not a lot of contact but he's provoking him as well going right up to him. It does happen and we'd be lying if we said we don't all see the red mist occasionally.”

Lol
'Yet to see the best of his team'
After watching all home and almost all away games under Slade I now find myself agreeing with one of his dopey statements.

Couldn't agree more, we would all like nothing more than for Slade to succeed and I hope my opinion of him is wrong because that would mean a better cardiff city
