I and many on here know and feel players like Manga,Fabio,Marshall etc etc who are the main strength in the squad will get sold.

Where do we go from here?

Will we be able to get that type of quality to come to us for low wages?

Surely you need some quality to go with lower division players and battlers?

All this bollox about going for promotion next season is just a way of trying to get us fans to buy a new season ticket..

It will be Mid table obscurity with a possible relegation battle with eggman in charge again.. Although im sure he will talk some shite and say we are improving every week

We don't need 'stars' to challenge for Promotion next season, if we lost the likes of Marshall, Manga, Fabio et al, then they are replaceable. There are plenty of good players in the Championship and around League One as well, who would all come to Cardiff City. We need to crack the loan market too, the Premier League is full of young, promising youngsters who want to play football, so why not follow in the footsteps of the clubs higher than us in the league and try signing them, rather than signing the unknown youngsters. More than anything, I believe we need a couple of seasons of stability, time and time again, our squad is getting ripped apart, and bringing new players in, it doesn't work to just throw players together and expect results.

We need a manager who will be able to get the best out of the expected streamlined squad, and I honestly don't believe that's Slade.

It will already be an interesting summer with plenty of activity.

When I look at the other Championship teams, we can probably offer higher wages than most of the other teams.

Also, a key point is how well we use the loan market. Look at the difference made to Middlesborough this year by Patrick Bamford. I hope our scouting network is working hard out there.

It actually wouldn't take many additions to the team to give us the extra 20 points to put in a serious playoff/promotion push. Of course, there are many other teams in the same position.

Will our best players leave? David Marshall clearly doesn't want to go. Clubs may be reluctant to sign someone who doesn't reall want to leave. He should be playing at a higher level and will probably go though. Bruno Ecuele Manga has plenty of contract left, so the club may like to keep him until at least January to see how the season develops. Kenwynne Jones is a good Championship striker, but is paid at least double what he is worth. Will anyone be prepared to take him off our hands at that price? I can't see a role for him in the Premier League.

We badly need a club captain/midfield organiser. Someone like Kevin Nolan (not necessarily him, but someone like him!). Like many, I'm not sure that Slade is the man. But he is our manager for the time being and we need to get behind him, not snipe at him and moan.

After seeing what Watford, Bournemouth, Brentford have done Quality helps yes but a good team spirit tactics good coaching can still get you up or into the playoffs.

Yes but it will be very difficult.

We need to shop in the Eurozone, ie Spain, Portugal.
£5000 to £10000 week for some of these players and they will snap your hand off.

Just don't think we have a great scouting system.

It doesn't matter who is brought in, Slade and his coaching staff have no idea how to coach talented players. It'll be a load of 6'2 donkeys and more hoof ball next season.

This regime got no chance to bring in the required quality paying peanuts.

Manga cost a fortune for that kind of talent. Kennedy was a good signing I'll give them that much credit, 1/7 ratios for cheap incoming players is not good enough

We could have the most prolific goal scorer in the Championship, but what's the point when our game plan is to stifle the opponent and hoof the ball forward? On top of that, our midfield doesn't create anywhere near enough chances for a striker to flourish.

The midfield needs improving , our defence and goalkeepers are more than good enough for this division.
Our strikers will score goals.
But we need 3 midfirlders , one strong defensively one creative and one box to box and we would walk the league next season. Get rid of ALF and KJ even Magna and Fabio to save wages . Even Slade could get us promoted with a strong midfield , everyone I have spoke to has said our midfield is not good enough.

I totally agree with you, Fabio is a "reliability". I love him to bits and hope he stays but there's little chance.

People obviously disagree as he has been voted MOTM second most on here this season.

A reason manu got rid of him? Obviously he isn't good enough for manu but we are a very average championship club not a team pushing for top 4 in the prem.

Im happy with getting the earners off the wage bill.

There are players with ability and desire in the lower leagues who would accept wages much lower than the figures our current squad are earning, Bournemouth have proved that. We just need to hope Slade and co can spot and sign them.
