Do you trust Cardiff City Football Club?

Tue Apr 28, 2015 10:12 am

A very simple question: do you trust your football club enough to invest in a season ticket? For the record I again have invested but on a ratio of 1 to 10 with 10 being - I totally trust my club - I would give them 1 begrudgingly! You may ask then why did you invest for next season? Simple they are my club and I live in hope!

I've renewed, so the answer has to be 'yes'. I just like going to games to support my club. Bit of a loaded question, though.

Ive renewed as usual :thumbright: :thumbright: but I dont trust the people who run Cardiff City FC at all.

I support the name CARDIFF CITY FC and they are like a drug to me, I dont support the Regime, in my opinion one of the worst regimes in my 44 years of supporting City.

I give them 1, Tim and thats being very generous.

This Regime has to go and all the ones underneath them ASAP :thumbright:

:sladeout: & TAN & HIS REGIME OUT :thumbright: :thumbright:

Only a fool would trust any of this lot. Even Dalman with his constant buttering up of the fans is easy to see through. He's got his own agenda for sure.

I am not renewing but that's simply down to finances, I was never renewing this season but should hopefully get to some games.

I trust Tan to keep us afloat and that's all I ask of him to be honest.
Do I trust Slade to manage the team? no

No I don't trust em one bit. I don't believe a single word that comes out of there vile gobs. But I have bought a season ticket because it's mine and our Club not there's. Tan owns it but he ain't fit and proper and it isn't in his heart not like us.

I don't trust the system we have now to be successful. We need to put more emphasis on the academy

no more than I have trusted any other regime is probably the best answer and I go back
many years of being unable to fathom out owners decisions.

the most laughable probably being Bob Grogan buying an 11 seat plane to take the team to
away matches? :old:

No.

I dont trust them with absolutely anything.

Which is sad.

The twitter account now seems to be run by a decent chap who knows Cardiff prior to premier league season. So thats nice.

Apart from that, it is ridiculous how little I feel affection for the people around the club

I think it was Clemo during his reign, not Grogan, who bought the plane from one of his other companies ( there were tax advantages for him perhaps) but I may be wrong. Grogan was one of the relatively good guys I thought. He had no connection with the area but put money into the club when it was on its uppers and actually got us a promotion. Unfortunately he died shortly afterwards and we were left in the hands of his former company Kenton Utilities. Now THEY were among the worst of our owners.

Grogan was the best we ever had. Tan for all his faults is the best of the rest. Not saying a lot as the others were shockers. But at least he paid off HMRC and kept us going. But not for much longer I fear.

It's all very well to say that but who is going to buy the club?Tan has made a lot of mistakes but with the return to blue and the club trying to entice fans back with season ticket prices reduced what else do you expect him to do , money has been promised to strengthen the team.Clubs have to adhere to Financial Fair Play rules so we cannot go out and splash the cash willy nilly.Glib statements are easy to make but no one has even tried to come up with an alternative proposition. So get real we have Tan for the forseeable future.

To be fair, Cardiff are called the Bluebirds, and have been for a long time. Cardiff are blue, and a lot of true supporters would say Tan showed a total disregard to his "customers" by changing what to many of us is part of the proud history of this club. Most supporters of all 92 league clubs would be able to tell you what colour Cardiff have traditionally played in.

Sam was wrong to change our badge,I cant believe it Wez,your admitting I do say things against Sam if I feel he was wrong :thumbright:

I actually liked Bob Crogan :thumbright: and met him many times.

I got on with Tony Clemo and still do,but we had our moments

The Riddler knew his football, but could not handle money/finances in my opinion.

Do I trust Tan, I do not understand the premise of the question as he still is our owner.

I as far as I am concerned the jury is still out but my thoughts at the moment I believe Tan is no worst than any other owner of a football club, at our level who would not be successful with just gate receipts and sponsorship

I believe he is calculating weighing up his original personal financial investment and future investment with the risk associated, so its how he leaves us and how will be the telling factor, just like other owners of our club and other clubs, and then why should we worry about trust as he will not be coming back, just walking off into the sunset

I disagree with your comments on Tan'! Other owners do not rip the heart and soul out of a once proud club. Other owners do not treat their supporters with contempt! Other owners do not cause a rift between supporters, and other owners do not try and destroy a clubs history!
