Do you agree? ? ? Hmmm?

Cardiff City fans demanded a performance full of spirit and character. Directors, too, knew exactly what they wanted.

Chairman Mehmet Dalman chatted before kick-off and said: “We all want the players to have a go and give supporters a chance to cheer.”

Russell Slade’s players had to finish on a high note in their final Championship home fixture of the season and show there is hope for the future. To be fair, they stepped up to the mark. ? ?

There is still an awful lot of work for Slade and his coaching team if they are to build a squad capable of challenging for a top six finish in 2015-16.

City looked dangerous going forward with two-goal Eoin Doyle and Joe Mason linking well in attack.

Gunnarson and three front four (take out Noone) the only ones that get any credit today the rest were average even Manga really.

Doyle and Mason looked ok but they are too similar to work long term.

I just feel none of us can judge until the season starts again.

We don't know what sort of squad we are going to have and we don't know if it is going to gell. I just feel next season will be a rebuild job with all the same excuses coming out. The season next could be the push.

Sorry, can't agree with the last bit of that third paragraph.

Today, we were poor. It won't seem like it to many, because Blackpool were even worse. But they're nowhere near Championship standard.

So I can't agree that the players stepped up to the mark - and I can't see any hope for the future under Slade.
