Red or dead was complete crap

Fri Apr 24, 2015 5:45 pm

Were Pompey blue or dead?
Were Leeds white or dead?
Were Swansea white or dead?

What about Crystal Palace or any of the other clubs that hit the financial brick wall.....are they dead? Funnily enough, two of the clubs mentioned are now doing much better than us after hitting the financial brick wall because they had fan bases with enough guts to tell the poisonous hand that was feeding them to get lost and they rebuilt from scratch.

They now have clubs with tremendous fan input and clubs that are built on the correct foundations. Taking the money from Tan with Premier League in our eyesights was always the easy option and we did it cause we wanted the Premier League. At least have the guts to admit we wanted the glory and we wanted Tan's money and we all dreamt of amazing players down the CCS turning it on in the country's capital.

The reality is it was never red or dead and this was just pathetic propaganda by the finest of them all who wanted to scare others into also taking from Tan and his investment. Honestly, it was red or admin at best and after admin the club would have, just like the vast majority of others that went before it, been reborn and come back proudly. Instead, we sold out to Tan and now the club is his pathetic plaything. A plaything he only changed the colour back to blue on because he knows now in the lower leagues he needs our money. Didn't give much of a damn when Sky was lining his pocket though did he? Was happy to have his SUPER RED LUCKY KIT then wasn't he? Good on every fan that stays away. Good that only 4000 are going. It should be 0 and then Tan and his bunch of cronies can get lost.

There is more proof from history that clubs survive and continue on after admin than cease to exist. The red or dead line is complete nonsense.

Another one who claims it wasn't red or dead! But none have ever said what alternative was? Considering we had no money to pay tax man or tea fund even! :D the Clubs mentioned didnt get liquidated just administration! Slight difference in any outcome between the two.

That's why the enigma that is 'blueminati' started another thread...in the hope Steve wouldn't see it! ;)

Truly embarrassing character is 'blueminati' and (in many ways worse) he actually enjoys the notoriety!

JB, you need to let this go. Like I've said many times to you, your Rebrand debates are pointless, because you yourself supported Tan and the Red, stating it was the best thing for the club.
