Slade press conference... First up, can you tell us about players returning from injuries?

RS: Ben Turner is in the 18-man squad. Ben has had quite a few minutes playing in the build-up to regaining full fitness.

If he doesn’t start tomorrow, the chances will be higher for him to start at Nottingham Forest.

Slade says it is important 'mentally' for some players to return

Getting those players back is important for ourselves and for the players in terms of knowing they are fit going into close season. For Ben Turner to recover and finish the season fit is important mentally.

Maynard has been plagued by injuries and he, too, will benefit from going into close season knowing he is fit and healthy.

Slade on Nicky Maynard's future

Those we feel are still some way off will be asked to come back after the end of this season and we can check on them. We must ensure the group who finish season are fit and those who need work in training get it.

Maynard’s contract is up this summer. It’s been difficult he has simply not played. He has been plagued by a back injury. We seem to have got to the bottom of it and the only thing he is missing are minutes on pitch.

We will have a chat about with him about his future, but effectively he could be in the shop window.

Slade is asked about his side's poor form at home...

RS: Difficult to put a finger on it. We won the first three out of four at home after I came in. Then we went into a difficult period playing top teams when we struggled and haven’t come back from that.

Home form has been a deep frustration for me. It is the biggest frustraton. Initially, the frustration was away. We hadn’t won for such a long time. But we got over that and went on a seven game unbeaten run and that’s what we have to try and achieve at home.

If we can finish with a win and start next season at home in good shape who can say we can’t go on a run, be consistent and difficult to beat at home.

Slade on welcoming relegated Blackpool

It’s a difficult fixture for us. They are playing with no fear, players playing for contracts and they have been picking up good points since they have known their fate.

We have to be up for it and will be up for it.

Slade on 2015/16 and pre-season preparations

There are different ways of planning. We have our targets and that is ongoing, I hope we can attract the ones we have highlighted.

It’s a busy period with some players going and some coming in. On the other side preparation on what we are doing pre-season is largely underway and almost complete on where we go, what we are doing. We are close to settling six pre-season games.

Summer spending - how much will Bluebirds go for it in transfer market?

RS: You don’t always have to spend big to get out, that’s not the case. You have to have financial power to attract right players, but it’s abouit getung right balance. it’s about sustainability as well.

It’s an important factor that we have regrouped in the Championship and we look to move forward.

We have to make sure we get the right fits, right balance, right chemistry to move forward. Look at models of the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford, who have been forces in the league this season.

They play fast, flowing, attacking football

We have to build in a way that can be sustained. It’s a question of getting the balance right.

Slade on his planned end-of-season talks with Vincent Tan

We will look at targets available, calculating those. Are they going to improve us. I won’t ask for a certain sum, but are the targets a good fit, whether free or they cost a fee.

Slade on Javi Guerra

RS: I have not heard anything yet. All our players are due back to us by May 5. The Tuesday after last game of season. We will have ongoing talks and we will also review season as a staff.

All those players have been notified, including Javi and everybody. We will get a much clearer picture after that.

Dialogue will go on through most of the summer in some cases.

Slade: "We want stabilty and a promotion push next season."

Slade on free-scoring Adam Le Fondre

RS: We have had a fair amount of dialogue with Adam Le Fondre, he is in on Wednesday May 6.

We hear a lot of things, lot of talk, stories in the paper, but it will be a face to face, frank and honest talk on 6th.

Jones and Connolly will stay with their clubs if they are in the play-offs, but we will still have the dialogue with both.

Kevin McNaughton will be back to have a chat. His contract is up, but we will have a chat.

So quite a wide-ranging press conference as attention is already switching to next season. Peter Whittingham OUT against Blackpool though as Slade looks to finish the current campaign with a bang.

We'll have much more from Cardiff City for you throughout the day.

'They've been picking up good points since they've known their fate!'

Unbelievable comment. They've lost every game. Good to see our manager has done his homework on the opposition. This idiot needs to go sharpish! Total buffoon!
