Going To The Rugby

Thu Apr 23, 2015 9:08 pm

I can't go to the Blaclpoool game on Saturday as my dad has freed me up a ticket for judgement day. I do feel bad about not going but I can't say I'm that bothered if I''m honest. At the moment I would rather have a nice afternoon in the sunshine :bluescarf: (hopefully) watching 4 teams for a tenner. Just can't be asked at the moment, looking forward to forest though.

I went to watch Ponty the other day and it was the most ive enjoyed live sport in ages.

No prima donnas, cheap, pretty competitve even though Ponty are by far the best in the league.

As it isn't professional any more, there were some absolute howlers made by some of the players. So funny

Who were they playing? Went to watch my mate play for Cross Keys against Ponty a few weeks back and it was a cracking game. £15 for me and my daughter and was a nice day out.

Haven't used my season ticket very much this year and I don't miss it to be honest.

You say it as if its odd. Its obvious fans would cone if we were in the play offs.

Its now an entertainment driven day out for many fans. Make them feel like it was money well spent or they will go elsewhere and get a bit more value.

Kudos to those who still see it as a right of passage and blindly support through thick and thin. But some see that money better spent on a family day out that doesn't frustrate and leave you suicidal at times.

Precisely what's at stake in this hyped up non event? Welsh RU are bigging it up by saying World Cup places are up for grabs. And the suckers swallow it. Knowing Gatland, he has already made his mind up. The 2 games are just as meaningless as the one I'll be going to but I'm not pretending otherwise.

If people can't handle the lows don't support the club only when we are doing well, that would be pure glory supporting

Just because we are not winning, if you support the club you'd stick by them

If you go only when the times are well and happy your glory supporting

One good thing I suppose, if you put a rugby shirt on, you can piss in the street, vomit in a bin and have a scrap........and get away with it. :laughing6: :laughing6:

I've forgotten who it was but looking at their results I think it was v LLandovery when they won 36 - 0. There was 4 sin bins or something stupid. At one point LLandovery were getting desperate and had a throwin in their 22, they took a quick one but none of their guys even noticed so the ball just bounced on the floor and ponty player picked it up and passed it for a try

Your game with 33 - 27 sounds slightly better!.
