Is Slade the right manager? Does Tan have an urge to release those purse strings, even slightly?

If he does, can Cardiff repeat what they achieved two years ago under Mackay?
Tan, watching from afar, is pondering his next move. Slade, meanwhile, can only focus on the next task and that is beating Blackpool at home.
Surely that is within reach. Anything less than a win is unthinkable right at this moment, although some Cardiff fans will take convincing even the bottom side can be overcome by a Bluebirds team who have managed a paltry six goals in their last 10 home games.
City are languishing in 14th place and have been left with only a faint chance of the top 10 finish craved by Slade.
Even that, though, would represent a disastrous showing after the expectation which surrounded Solskjaer’s squad at the start of this season.
There was a genuine belief within the club and the arrival of £3.5m signing Bruno Manga at the start of September was seen as potentially the final piece of the Bluebirds’ promotion jigsaw.
Instead, City have struggled to compete, let alone raise an argument they could battle it out among the main rivals for promotion.
Fitness levels attained when Mackay was manager dropped alarmingly and when Slade took over the club was already on the slide.
It was impossible to completely rule out a relegation battle, but the new manager did stabilise things and carve £12m off the wage bill.
That wasn’t anywhere near enough, though. Fans wanted to see signs of hope for the future, that Slade was rebuilding a squad capable of making solid progress.
Instead the Bluebirds supporters have watched their team play drab, low key football too often. Big players have moved on and the fear is that more will follow.
Slade’s men managed to find a little resilience away from home, but at Cardiff City Stadium they have earned only two wins in their last 13 fixtures.
They failed to score a goal in five of those, including the last two.
Slade may be unable to win over the fans this season, but it’s imperative he at least sends his players out to be bold and against Blackpool.
They must give supporters something to cheer and smile about... and the only way to do that is with goals and attractive football.
Beating Blackpool won’t mean much, but anything less than three points would make the City boss an even bigger target for critics.
Cardiff have failed their fans this season. That’s not totally Slade’s fault, far from it, and others, including owner Tan, carry much of the blame.

I always get behind our managers but it's time for him to go at the end of the season I will be surprised if tan keeps him ,Neil Warnock would be my choice ,a proven championship manager with funds he could get us going

We will draw with Blackpool, probably 1-1

I don't reckon that the players are that worried about Slade leaving so they won't raise their game beyond just turning up

Anything other than a win is unthinkable Slade can't hide.

Sean Jay I used to (and still do) hate Neil Warnock but at this time even I would take him over Slade. Mr Tan should eat humble pie and let him go. He could even say his mum persuaded to do it, we don't mind.

For months and months I tried to get my cuz to come back to the Games.
He said he would never set foot into the CCS again till Tan has gone. I my self have had more than enough now about the way the club is being run.
So I and my family are not renewing our tickets this year ,I never in my life have walked out of a game at halt time ,But I'm so sad to say I did this year. Even my 8year old boy pleaded with me to go more than once in a few games, his words was ,O come on dad this is so boring .
We have a guy in Tan that knows Fk all about football and thinks he knows it all. It makes my blood boil to see the way the club I love being run the way it is.
when i go to a game I go cos I love City and football,a win is a bonus and I don't care if we don't win as long as we make a fight of it and we play with passion. Non of these things I see at this moment in time and some of them don't deserve to wear the shirt I love.
I will be back when we get our club back and a Manager that can put out a team thats wroth supporting and they play for the shirt, and when Tan starts to listen to some people who know what they are doing and talking about .

Why would ALL THE PLAYERS who are on more than the manager - on a year in wages want to raise their game .
Here is the start of the problem ....Tan's Man is not that special in his eyes.

They'll grind out a goaless or perhaps a 1-1 draw and at the end of the game the players, lead by Gunnarsson, will come over to the fans and toss them their shirts. The fans will be falling over themselves to get one and before leaving the field Gunnarsson will this time lead the players in applauding the fans, who in return, will applaud back.
Now, if only City fans could show more class and style and do what Lazio fans did a few years ago in similar circumstances ... they collected the shirts and threw them back at the players!

I think it's fair to say that Slade doesn't have an eye for talent, the uninspiring talent that he brought in when you already have better players at the club.
Adeyemi: Has a real good engine and is a great prospect but has never been given a look in.
Kennedy: Our most creative player since his arrival coupled with a couple of MOM performances and then he finds himself planted on the bench and he can't get a look in.
Harris: Speed out wide which we have been desperately missing & he again hasn't had a run in the team.
When our safety was assured then surely players like this for the future should have been given their opportunity.

Tan made wrong decision appointing Slade. Need to sack him by end of season.
Hope Tan has some sense to to appoint a experienced manager who has promotion expecience, rebuild the squad during summer and fight for promiotion for the new season.

Id be surprised if slade is gone,as long as he does what tan says and keeps us in the championship he will keep his job imo,our only hope is that choo or dalman can encourage tan to get rid of slade and bring in someone with a bit more balls who can be in control and guide the club to success because I'm not convinced that slade is that guy
