Blueprint for the future

Thu Apr 23, 2015 12:31 pm

As a football club we need to have a blueprint for how we are going to play, run our 1st team, development team, youth squad and so on. I'm sure there must be one in place however from what I've seen this season I have no idea at all what our club are doing, therefore I have the following suggestion;

Next Season...

1st Team Squad of 22 players (3 keepers, 7 defenders, 7 midfields, 5 strikers)
- included in this squad there must be 2/3 youth development players and 3/4 old heads with Premiership experience
- 6 fringe squad players who are then sent out on loan but can be called back without notice
- then no more players!

If we want to bring somebody new in then fine, but it will be to replace somebody, so that we can learn from the mess Ole created where we seemed to buy everybody to create this huge unbalanced squad which had to be unpicked this year. Once we have a balanced and sensible squad we can then develop a way of playing with different games plans based on the players we have within a manageable squad, who get to know each other and work as a team.

I love Cardiff they are my team and they will always be, I just want to see some sense and organisation over the summer months. Who ever the manager is and who ever the players are I will give my 100% providing I can see the way forward and everyone is working for the future of Cardiff City.

I wish the club the very best over the next few months and plead with them to show us the blueprint and engage with us as fans, not simply as match day customers.

Great plan.. it's the blueprint that 95% of professional football clubs already have in place!!!!

Ourselves, Blackpool and Newcastle seem to be the exception to this rule..and look how successful they have been over the last 2 years :sladeout: :sladeout: :sladeout:
