Influence of this message board

Wed Apr 22, 2015 9:09 am

Does anyone else like me believe this board has a huge influence on the 15k alledged members on here
If so should our leaders now start an agenda to bring positivity threads as surely this could get more fans to renew
There are a lot of negative posts on here most stickies have negative under tones .and this can only have a detrimental influence on our clubs support
Surely there's more to the match day experience than just the result/ performance
IMO meeting up with mates and other city supporters before and after is a good part of the day
On away days the Craic on the bus and pub stop is fantastic
Some of the opponents play is good to watch ( we can't win every game ) even if I expect us to
Now we got our colour back pulling on the replica shirt means even more
For me taking William (my 8 yr old grandson ) for those that don't know us ,

seeing and hearing his excitement every game home and away is extra special
What I'm trying to say is try and remember what supporting YOUR club gives you NOT what it doesn't
Your club needs you, us who have
already renewed need you
And next seasons players will need you
So come on support the boys and renew :bluescarf:

It does have an influence. The negativity towards the club especially towards the reversal of the rebrand is one of the reasons why I shall not be renewing.

No I don't think so.
I know a lot of people who don't go on message boards and they seem even more pissed off than most.

Message boards are only read by a minority of fans.
People are moaning now that a lot of fans stated they would return to watch Cardiff if we returned to blue.
Just shows that the majority of our support don't bother reading message boards especially the much older supporters.

Other teams supporters come on here as well.
Thousands probably signed up to this board wanting tickets for Wembley.

More nonsense.
Is it negativity because you don't agree with the views of most? Because you want to be different.
I think the fact that most people (and not just on message boards) want Slade out is a positive thing.

Damage has been done. Fans did say they'd return but its easier said than done. We won't forgive. We won't forget. If you want to blame other fans rather than the true cause of the problems, Tan, then be our guest. We won't apologise for your own stupidity.

Very little influence......

It reflect a general mood.

I agree that there are a lot of negative posts on here, but there is also plenty of negativity in the local pubs and clubs, and this just reflects the general mood of a lot of City fans right now. There is more to the match experience than just the result or performance, although for a lot of people the result and performance is the most important part. Unfortunately, the set up in the stadium, the stewards telling people to sit down all the time, and the general lack of atmosphere do not help the matchday experience. The opponents play may be good to watch, but with all due respect, I don't care about our opponents, I want to see good football from the team I support. For me, I can't find much to be positive about this season, but I live in hope, and maybe things will improve next season.

Steve if there is something positive to post on here we would. We have owners that don't have a clue about football and have no interest in us Any more. A clueless manager who really is punching above his weight. But if you can give us a positive then most of us are all ears.

The whole point of a message board is to allow relatively free speech (as long as it is within the rules).

You can't legislate for the opinions of posters. I think the negativity is there as a fair reflection of the fans at the moment. :bluescarf:

We didn't get relegated, we are mid table after terrible performances and with a pants manager we can only go upwards in my humble opinion. He may not be the most exciting manager in the world but he has kept us out while cost cutting.

As for owners, no one else is going to come in when they see the fan support falling away, It's a lose lose situation.

Nothing can be worse than Rochdale on a cold winter night in 1980s as I am sure you will agree.

I do not see what the solution is, what if a new manager comes in and he doesnt get results or the performances, what do we do call for him to be sacked aswell. Personally I do think Slade is the right man for the job but I also do not know who I would want in there.
