' MAYBE RUSSELL SLADE'S TIME REALLY IS UP '

Tue Apr 21, 2015 7:29 pm

??

Annis and I have just been chatting to people who were in the directors box on Saturday and not just Mehmet Dalman, but Ken Choo also told people in there that he didn't believe Slade is the right man.

Dai Hunt was shouting down at Slade and screaming for the manager to show some passion and Dalman said 'he hasn't got any!', Choo chipped in with 'you got more passion than him!'.

When asked why Slade is still the manager, Choo said 'he is Tan Sri's man!'

Maybe with both Dalman and Choo expressing openly to people sat around them in the directors box, Slade's time as City manager may not last much longer. Tan does listen to Dalman but more so to Choo.

Also the story about Dalman giving Dai Hunt popcorn is true, at the dinner table Dai was on one of his rants and Dalman got up and came back with the popcorn, a bemused Dai Hunt said I don't like popcorn but Dalman said maybe this will keep you quiet

Also Ken Choo confirmed that of last week season ticket sales were 3,200

This could be very very interesting Hmmmmm?

Slade has done all Tans dirty work, but on the pitch his football is awful and dire in my opinion.

Fans dont like him,Dalman and Choo dont seem to like him.

So over to you Vincent Tan?

But why??
Is it because of his superior, complete and in depth knowledge of football? Is it because of his 'dinner party' style repartee? Or is it just because they like a good laugh?

I'm all for giving him a chance, but it seems one step forward one step back and he's just got SO many people a fathom that the slow stop start progress is never going to be enough.

Problem is Tan feels he's been let down by the last 2 and seems to trust Slade who at least hasn't wasted loads on transfers.

The time for change has to be in the next few weeks to give any new manager a reasonable chance.

As for who will work for Tan, who knows, some will be put off by stories but maybe they are the ones who haven't got the bottle for a challenge like Cardiff City.
There will be brave and ambitious managers out there who will see this as the chance to make a name for themselves.

Just hope to God we get it right this time

We need to get rid of him at end of season , Mark Warburton for me he's a good manager plays good football wont cost a fortune in wages and we wont have to pay compo to a club for him as he's leaving Brentford at end of season

I'd love this to be true but I don't believe a word of it. There is no way that conversation happened in the directors box.

The cold, hard reality of life is that money talks. Brentfords manager (Warburton) wont cost any compensation, and his salary requirements are highly unlikely to be out of our reach. He wont get a Premier League job - but is pretty much nailed on for another decent level Championship role. He works well with a small budget, and plays exciting, expansive counter attacking football.

They were fantastic at the CCS, and I have never seen anyone so bold as to keep three upfront when defending a corner against us. They were more threatening than we were from our own set pieces!

You know how it is though. One person says it, tells ten people who tell ten each, etc etc and it gets back to the other person that was there who then repeats what he was told.

It's just like when someone posts something on here, someone reads it, then they tell their mate. Their mate then comes on here and says, it must be true, my mate heard the same rumour.

As I said, I hope it's true, but lets be honest It's very unlikely that Dalman and Choo would say things like that in public in front of other fans.

I attended a presentation by Slade and his team for premier members on Monday before the Swansea match, It was primarily to present the team, explain how they study the opposition, devise tactics (yes, they say that they do have some) and prepare and set up for each game accordingly. When you hear that we have an ex goal keeper in charge of the defence and an ex centre back in charge of attack then you realise what a joke the coaching team is. Trollope really did not appear to have a role at all.

Slade blamed everything on lack of fitness and poor recruitment under Ollie. with every word he confirmed what a clueless buffoon he really is.

It was attended by less than 50 Premier members who were outnumbered by club representatives (indeed almost by the coaching staff). The club is in a panickprobably as they are reported to have sold only around 100 Premier memberships for next season.

I have said it before but THANK GOODNESS for Mehmet Dalman.

His hands may be tied but I really think our club would have been in an even worse state if it wasn't for Dalman.

Which is why at the next game we need to be constant on our Slade out message as games are running out

But surely under OGS the players were unfit and recruitment was poor. Not only Slade thinks that.

For me that's great, he might not be everyones cup of tea(probably no ones) but he speaks his mind. He was always there down Ninian Park when we were div 3, proper fan. Good on Dalman.
