Bunch of Idiots, I wouldn't vote for them if they were the only party

Not idiots. They are the only party who truly care about Wales and will fight for Wales. Plaid are asking for parity with Scotland as regards funding, this would mean an extra £1.2 billion per year for Welsh public services. NO other party is calling for this. I believe that Welsh people deserve to be treated equally with the Scots...don't you? The other UK parties are happy to continue to treat us as a third rate country. Most voters in Wales seem happy to accept this situation too. Shame on them. :thumbright:

£1.2 billion underfunded? Doesn't that mean we are under begging for £1.2 billion?
How much do we in Wales contribute compared to what we get back?

The extra 1000 doctors she will employ, where are they coming from, or does she have a factory producing them? Does it mean we will take more unskilled, untrained foreign doctors who cannot even speak the language? Personally I would prefer to wait in a queue and see a qualified experienced doctor.

Scrap Trident? What about our defences?
I can see her socialist hero Mr Putin liking that one. He would soon be sending ships and planes even closer to our shores maybe even landing here.
If the Jocks don't want Trident and its bases perhaps they could relocate to Wales giving us massive inward investment and highly skilled jobs.
If she wants to save money what about scrapping the useless talking shop in Cardiff (the Welsh Assembly) there's one of Wales biggest drains on the public purse. Think of the doctors we could employ with that money. Their management of the NHS, Ambulance service and Education shows how useless they are. Cutbacks and drops in standard compared to the rest of the UK, all thanks to them. She supports the idea of the Assembly and wants to give it more power, or does she mean more power for her personally?

All depends what calculation you prefer. I prefer the one which says that per head of population Wales actually gets more than England but Plaid never like you using the proper system which is used

All I will say is that Plaid Cymru would need very baggy trousers if they were ever in real power in Wales, as they know themselves they could not cope! ;)

So you think that Scotland deserves better funding than Wales? It's not begging, we pay our taxes.
Tell me one good reason why we need Trident? The system is totally irrelevant to fight today's enemies. No one would use it so why waste money on it. Think of the money that would save. Do you honestly believe that Putin is a threat? To much Sun or Daily Mail reading me thinks.
As for the assembly, that's run by Labour, who I agree are doing a crap job, but with the correct funding due to us I'm sure even they could manage to run a much more efficient health or education system

100% agree aberblue, well said - pity more people can't see the wood for the tree's, eh !!!??

We do not live in some sort of Welsh economic Eutopia, I'm afraid we live in this world where shit happens !!!

Sorry I'm a Thatcher / Farage, unionist, capitalist (with a small c) with a wiff of socialism.

Not a bad for some kid from a Cardiff council estate who now lives in a place that does not exist as far as the Welsh assembly and the BBC can see !!???

Blooobirds Forever !!

What is the alternative? Defund our own underfunded services?

Tell me what other party is fighting for Wales' best interests?

The alternative to 'borrow, borrow, borrow, beg, beg, beg' is to stand on our own two feet. Do you doughnuts realise that what you are calling for is an independent Wales?

Why on earth would an English speaking Welsh person, like most of us are ,vote to become a second class citizen in their own Country.

And where did you pick up that myth? It really is incredible the false information out there. I think you'll find that most of Plaid's candidates and members are like you 'English speaking Welsh persons'

Second class citizen? You mean like African American's in the sixties? :?

Why wouldn't an English speaking Welsh person vote for a party (the only party) that will fight tooth and nail for the people of Wales?

So why have the Scots got a better deal?. Its because they showed some backbone and voted to have more say in their country and how it is run.
Why are we always hearing about the SNP and Nicola Sturgeon on national TV? Wheras there is very little about Wales and next to nothing about Northern Ireland. If PC were not on the national tv debate we would not even have had a mention!

Obviously Plaid will not win many seats but a substantial vote for them sends a message that we want a fair crack of the whip. I dont want independance but I am a proud Welshman born and bred in Cardiff. I am Welsh first and British second. I dont want a Wales in name only where some English just come in and drown out any Welsh identity and moan about anything that isnt English. These people think of Wales as just part of England (Bit like they are doing in parts of Spain). The same people complain about Migrants coming into England and not learning English and not mixing in to their culture.
I want Wales to have its own identity, culture and language. i welcome any nationality (English, Roumanian, Indian etc ), provided they want to be Welsh citizens, contribute and respect our culture. Some people on here are saying that those who think about voting Plaid or other small parties "CANT SEE THE WOOD FOR THE TREES" , when in reality it is they who ARENT USING THEIR EYES AND MINDS TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES.
I have not decided for certain which party to vote for, but I recognise that sometimes if you want a fairer deal you have got to stand up and be counted- rather than moan and groan and then vote for the same two Westminster parties. :bluebird:
