Cardiff City linked with summer move for Celtic striker Anthony Stokes
Tues 21 April 2015
It is not the first time Stokes has been linked - the Bluebirds were said to be ready to launch a £1.5m bid for him in December.
Cardiff City are set to be one of a clutch of Championship clubs set to battle it out for the signature of Celtic striker Anthony Stokes, reports suggest.
The 26-year-old marksman, who was formerly at Sunderland, has one year left on his deal at Parkhead and a move south of the border looks to be his most likely choice this summer with him apparently not in the first-team plans of Hoops coach Ronny Deila despite scoring seven goals in 18 starts this season.
It is not the first time Stokes has been linked - the Bluebirds were said to be ready to launch a £1.5m bid for him in December.
As well as the Bluebirds, Nottingham Forest, Bolton, whose boss Neil Lennon managed Stokes at Celtic, and Leeds are all said to be monitoring Stokes’ situation.

The days of spending anywhere near £million on a player are long gone.

There you have it.Striker's cant strike without the service from midfield.

Would be a good signing but Slade seriously needs to work out who is best strikers are. It's been madness all season. Jones, Macheda, Le Fondre, Revell, Doyle, Maynard, Guerra, Mason, McAleny... all of them have had a fair share of football other than Guerra and Maynard. It's bloody ridiculous.
Remember when we just had Chopra, Bothroyd and McCormack? We could only dream of that now.

Wasnt Stokes who scored the Goal when Celtic came for the Stadium opener?
Tue Apr 21, 2015 8:15 pm
Central midfielders, wingers then strikers in that order for me. Get rid of a lot of our squad we need a lot of freshening up.

Think he'd be a gd signing, expect Jones and le fondre to move on and mcaleny won't be there next season neither will Maynard so that leaves Doyle macheda revel and mason,if we get stokes someone else is going to leave possibly revel?
Wed Apr 22, 2015 2:03 pm
wouldn't mind seeing a stokes-mason partnership upfront!

Good signing, just need three good midfielders now to get the ball to him.
