This Is the Real Truth to how Many Die Hard City Fans Feel

Tue Apr 21, 2015 7:19 am

This is honestly how many die hard fans feel about our club nowadays.
Plus dont forget how fans who stayed Blue were mocked, threatened and even attacked and will now never forget, whilst our club turned a blind eye to it all, just for false glory. Now City are paying for it,big time.

Glenn Villis,
Annis, I've renewed , however, even with the return to blue it hasn't brought back the love I had. Even if the badge went back to the one we all want it'll never be the same. Tan has killed the club so badly that I don't think we'll ever have the love we had for it. It was a massive part of my life and I loved the club but he's stamped on that and it

Me too, TBH the buzz went before the prem. I saved a fortune not flying back and for from Denmark. The club I once loved obviously doesn't love me, it's rotten to the core!! From tan to the players don't give a fack attitude. The only saving grace is the family of friends I have made over the years.

cardiff city has become a product not a passion and sadly like all products it is disposable.....and many, many have had enough... :(

I will never forget how someone tried to bully me out of the club by using tactics such as while I continue to go am putting money in Tans pocket. The same person who then shouted from the rooftops for Tan to get out after the sacking of Malky but continued to go himself. Such hypocracy I cannot stomach.

Time is a healer, the club and supporters have gone through a hugely traumatic period. Importantly the traditional colour and badge have been returned, which everyone once more can unite behind. The embarrassment of supporting a team that stood for nothing is behind us. We now need to sort the footballing side out. We need a manager appointed that is forward thinking and has a philosophy that we can all buy into, not some ex PE teacher that has not achieved anything as a manager in 20 years  It's laughable, because when Slade moves on, he will be looking for plaudits that he was the man that saved Cardiff from possible relegation  When in reality, anyone with a couple of years experience in coaching at a decent professional level would have this squad up. Even Young and Gabbs, got decent results and one of those two cant even string a sentence together

Got to give it to you, Annis you really are a master at taking the moral high ground, Obviously, although I have supported the club through thick and( mostly) thin for over 50 years I do not qualify as a diehard fan simply because I am more concerned with success on the field on the type of football I pay to see rather than the colour of the shirt. Still, as I was at the match on Saturday I was able to witness at first hand how returning too blue has benefitted everyone.

But what intelligent human would think that someone would actually buy us. Or that any success can be achieved without floating supporters (or glory boys as you call them) turning out to swell the crowd and the coffers.

Annis ,
As you know I have had season tickets for many many years , and for the last 5 years have had a premier contract in the lounge with 8 tickets.
I have one year left and they are now trying to get me to renew on a rolling one year contract.
Before the last couple of seasons I would have commited in a heartbeat.
The problem I have now is they have ripped the heart and passion out of my Club. I loved the club so much and it truly was my religion.
My wife and family understood how important CCFC was to me , and I would make any excuse to make sure I could attend games, even with my work.
Because of what they have brought the club too, I honestly do not have the same passion or feeling anymore.
Where we used to have camaraderie, spirit, and togetherness and we would stand together as one, we now have division , depression and splits between fans.
I find it all so depressing . I have paid for and missed many games this season because of the way the club is run , and the way we are playing its so disheartening.

I hope beyond hope that we all get the feeling back for our Club we once had , but I really don't see it happening.
I just hope I am wrong . I will always be a City fan but its just not the same and I find that heartbreaking.
Lets hope they can put our club back on the right track , make us feel proud again and get back that City till I die feeling !!
Here,s Hoping.

I know you well Steve and I know your loyalty :thumbright: I know how much City use to mean to you,you have put fortunes in to our club, but have had little given back.
My opinion,Let City come begging to you, before you give the thousands again to them.
Remember they call you a customer now,not a fan, so the customer is in the right and wants value for money :thumbright: :thumbright:

Isn't this all a bit melodramatic? We're back in blue, with a half-tidy badge next season. The football is not brilliant, but then it never was, most of the time. We're not going to be relegated, and will be in the Championship next season. Second division, in other words. When, exactly, did we ever have brilliant owners, who loved us fans?

If things are really that bad, then it's probably best that some posters call it a day. For their own health and sanity. But I really hope that, after a couple of months break, come the new season, we can start pulling together again, for the good of CCFC. Like we do at away games.

Cheer up! :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

After a lot of consideration, I have renewed for next season hoping that Slade will be gone at the end of the season. This looks like its not going to happen and we will be stuck with him and his dire, turgid and boring football for the opening part of next season at least.
What worries me is that as long as Tan is here we will never attract a good quality and high level of experience type manager for obvious reasons. For me we are stuck with him and his stupid appointments for the next few years unless he takes a big hit on his investment.

I have renewed for next season but for the first time in my life i was a bit reluctant to do so, but my heart overuled my head because its Cardiff City i love and not the owner or management etc.

If im honest this season has turned into a chore and the feelings i used to have and the buzz i had about games has long gone. Its not just the results that has done that its the whole ethos that surrounds the club from top to bottom.

Not even the return to blue has changed that feeling, all be it it did for the first game against Fulham but thats was about it.

The thing that annoys me the most is that we only have OURSELVES to blame because we as fans have let it all happen.

Tan has destroyed this club and we let him do it without any fight whatsoever, and the reason, because we were being successful at that time.

Now its going pearshaped on the field then the fans are starting to react, but not in the constructive way like we did in years gone by with protests and chants via games etc, the fans are just giving up. thats the heartbreaking side of it. But do i blame them, NOT in the slightest.

So i wll continue to go for another season and continue to spend my hard earned cash on my beloved club, but the frustration and anger is building inside me, and when it reaches boiling point thats when i will pull the plug and stop going after 26 years of being a fan.

I hope and pray theres a lot of changes during the summer and although its not Slades fault, he is certainly not up to the job, the football is worse than horrendous.

Anyway rant over, keep the faith, we love this club through thick and thin. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

The problem is, the way I see it, that many fans feel completely let down. By the club and also by comments made by fellow fans.

My passion died the summer when the rebrand was imposed. I checked if I could live with it, but it didn't feel right. We looked and felt like a plastic team, to me that was the end of our club that I once loved so much.

I couldn't support City anymore, I tears in my eyes coming back from Brighton as I realised the club is gone.

Back in blue, with an acceptable crest... do I feel passion again? No.
Once you're out of it it's hard to reignite the fire. Like with your girlfriend... you find different things to do, and they become your routine. It hurts at the start, but then it's ok.

I still call myself a City fan, time will tell if I can get hooked again. And as much as I still despise Tan, even if he would leave and sell the club, right now I doubt it would have any effect on me. Slade? I dunno, I didnt watch a match for years. Find it strange to read about players leaving the City, when I didnt even know they were here... ;)

It seems a lot of fans I know in there late 30's early 40's who used to go whatever and have since the 80's have lost the love, just can't be arsed anymore. Tan killed all the real fans off, now the fickle and plastic are deserting him in their droves.....I'm starting to think it will never change now until he has gone.

There is a bigger picture here to consider as well though? the football landscape has drastically changed, foreign ownership has come in and changed clubs from the inside out. You know something is terribly wrong, when you have a club like Man Utd at the height of their powers, winning trophies, attracting the best players in the world, playing fantastic football, yet you have a section of fans so alienated from the club they grew up with, that they go out and start their own

I realise the club had to move on and build a new ground, but for me it just isnt the same not playing at ninian park,it could be such an intimidating place for the away team to play, most of the city fans that went, had watched city through thick and thin.In Cardiff stadium there is no atmosphere, totally different set of fans, stewards act as if they are in the 3rd reich.I only been 2 the new ground twice, its just not the same,i feel im at an away game,i will always love the city, but the club has changed,i don't regonise it anymore.i still go to the odd away game, that's it for me these days. When we got prom 2 the prem, that was my dream, but I felt nothing when we did.i just miss the old days,i had some of the best times of my life in the 80's and 90's

Its true Annis. He has ripped the life and soul out of the club. Not just any club, but a club known for its fan base nationally and across foreign seas. We have always been fairly crap as a team. That's just Cardiff City. Its always been a rollercoaster. Fans feel deflated not because the football is crap but because the entire club is like Tans zombified version of what was once our passionate club. I will never forgive him. I thought I could but I can't. The damage has been done.
