Slade will be gone after Forest

Mon Apr 20, 2015 8:35 pm

I cannot believe Slade will be manager next season, he has had his chance to prove he can actually coach a team to produce either results or quality football and has failed miserably. I believe there will be big changes in the summer and a glimmer of light after a terrible 18 months for all City fans.

Do you know for sure?

Of course he doesn't!
But don't worry it's only his belief & hope. You'll be able to change your avatar back again soon.

not sure about the bit where hes had his chance,he has had to work under much constraint ,that many a manager could not manage to do
if you want to judge him after he has had a REAL FAIR CHANCE then he must be given at least 1 more transfer window :bluescarf:

But he signed up to those constraints, other managers turned it down.

Its all well and good going into an inter view and saying you can deliver under those constraints but you then must accept when you fail.

Another thread where the headline doesn't reflect the content!

Quote (headline): "Slade WILL be going!"

Sadly, not 'backed up' by the OP

Bullshit. Hes had good enough players and a good enough squad to do much better than what hes done, but instead hes continued all season to pick the same underperforming players and using the same tactics which has failed. Nothing to do with constraints.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic but maybe we are sticking with Slade to save the club a bit of face, showing we aren't trigger happy with managers etc, we weren't really relegation threatened and sit comfortably in midtable/lower half of Championship?

Then come end of the season we part company with Slade, replacing him with Bruno Ribeiro or Paul Trollope(Not saying they're my choice but could there be anything in the rumours etc) and I don't think Trollope IS a Slade appointment at all.

Since Slade is on a small contract and he only has one season left on his contract after this, the pay-off won't be much, heck Slade might even waiver it. Slade gets a 15th placed or above finish in the Championship on his CV and we have a bit of stability for a season.

Just being optimistic, maybe we are stuck with him for even longer :sleepy2: :sleepy2: :sleepy2:

I'm beginning to think he will go too. Tan can't afford to give him another transfer window and risk further failure. Slade's football is boring and sterile and fans are leaving in their droves. We need an experienced manager at Prem/Championship level, preferably a well known name too, and Tan needs to make it clear that any incoming manager has a good budget. Only then are we likely to attract fans back to the Club. At present many of us are turning up out of loyalty. It's a long time since I looked forward to going to a game. :bluescarf:

It doesn't look this way now that Tan and Slade will be planning about transfers in Malaysia.
