" THE ENIGMA THAT IS CRAIG NOONE "
Reports that Norwich are still interested in the winger and will come back in for him got a mixed reaction from Cardiff fans on social media.
There were those who insisted he should be held onto, but there were plenty urging the Bluebirds to get rid if £2m was on offer.
Looking at what Noone has done for Cardiff since he joined the club that apathy seems ridiculous.
He was great in the promotion campaign and one of the very few Cardiff players to at least look reasonable in the Premier League. The problem is that, despite Slade’s confidence in him, for too much time this season the wideman has obviously been under par.
Have his injuries finally caught up with him or is it the fact that Cardiff are under-performing as a whole that has affected Noone?
Hard to know. Suffice to say though, he was the best Bluebirds player against the Lions and, if he is sold in the summer, the signal that would send out would be an incredibly negative one.
Cardiff need to keep players like Noone, but will they?

No player can play his best under Slade, he is stifling any ability. La fondre is prime example

I don't agree with the club on many things, but I will not criticise a sale of a player that has given so little in regards to assists and goals, you know, the important factors that wins football matches.

He was as poor against millwall as he has been all season. If norwich go up they will surely want much better, even at £2m.

Three goals and four assists since the very start of 2013.
Not a very good player...

He has been dreadful all season, absolutely dreadful.
He has continually lost possession and is one of the main reasons we have struggled. Footballers don't come back from a season like that. For himself and us it is better we offload.

Im gutted at this. When he was at Brighton I was always wanting us to sign him, then we were interested in the Jan window but didnt happen - I was so happy when we got him in the summer.
Im a big fan of his, only have to look at the Premier League when he wasnt playing we were awful. He made the difference. This year has been a bit strange but I actually welcome somebody trying to take people on. Too many sh*touts in our side so anybody with an ouce of flair should be utilised

You're like a stuck record, whilst I'm not the manager's biggest fan, you can't blame him for every single player who's not performed this season!
You can argue all day as to whether Le Fondre should have been played in a different formation or not, but which ever formation you play in, when you get the chances you've got to put them away. Le Fondre failed us miserably before his loan to Bolton, as he had lots of chances whilst he was with us, but couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo!
Noone has been employed in a free type role and in his more usual position as a winger throughout the season and been a shadow of the player he was last season. You may be able to blame Slade for a multitude of other misdemeanors, but It's not the manager's fault that Noone has been gash all season!

Totally agree, at 2m he would be a bargain for Norwich with a proper manager and formation.

It's very difficult to make any judgements on players currently with this manager in charge. I do not have a clue as to what our playing style is an who fits where in his teams. Noone is a confidence player and he seems to have lost that. In another team or set up, he could start flying again, who knows??

It really has a lot to do with motivating players, giving them self belief. Afraid Slade cannot do that and has failed to find a formation to suit our players.

No one has been quite simply dreadful all.season. I cannot think of one game he was decent for the full 90 mins. Flatters to deceive and who is saying he was man of match against Millwall? He final delivery sat was yet again missing. Lost possession countless times. 2 million we should drive him to Norwich now!

Simply adds nothing to the team and hasn't done for two years about from a spotlight performance at the Etihad. Get rid !!!!
