Was Slade trying to double pivot without the personnel to do it ?
First half - Watching Whitts yesterday do his thing with Gunnar breaking up play was pretty continental (and modern) but with Ralls on the outside wanting to turn square and inwards and Mason or Doyle not having a clue what a modern 10 does or not being good enough to hold the ball up that only left Noone in his genuine real position.
Interestingly a lot on here thought that was Noones best game for a long time.
If we can get Conor McAleny on a permanent (although injury prone) thats the 10 sorted or even Kennedy could do that role, but we haven't got a striker who can play that role. Revell is probably the closest we got.
