I'm sure someone out here can explain what the HELL I am doing wrong.
My daughter came to me with a triangle trig question off an A Level paper. On the face of it quite simple (if you know). However, we have the answer and cannot get anywhere near it
What are we doing wrong with the calculator?
Triangle (xyz)
Tan x = -2.246 what angle is x?
The answer is 114deg but we cannot for the life of us get it out of the calculator.
More annoying. Tan of 114deg does equal -2.246...... Ahhhhhhh.
