BURTON ALBION

Sat Apr 18, 2015 7:20 pm

They got promoted today but a number of their fans have not realised plus Sky Sports miss it.

They are top of Division 2 and only 2 other teams can catch them. However one of those teams are in 4th place, Bury, and some of them plus Sky Sport thought that meant the other 2 teams in 2nd and 3rd place could catch them. The team in 3rd place have played a game more so cannot catch up.

Trying to explain that to some of them in a fb group has been entertaining.

Congratulations to Jimmy Floyd - already won one more promotion in his managerial career than Rusell Slade.

Was just pointing out that Jimmy Floyd has already acheived more success in his fledgling managerial career in this country than our current manager has had after years of failure.

To be fair, Gary Rowett did an excellent job there before he went to Birmingham.

Big test for Hasselbaink will be in League One next season, then we'll see how good he is.

I thought Jimmy wanted to come back but he was told to stay away but he then proved he had a contract based on games played season before which meant we had to pay him for the season and we still chose not to invite him back ?

Or some deal like that ?

Yes I think your right, he activated a contract extension after playing so many games for us the season before
