As Slade is given next season I'm wait and see what he can do because his are tied this season.

I want him gone, probably the majority of the fans want him gone and never wanted him in the first place to be brutally honest, the players look like they want him gone, but I don't think anyone will get their wish.

He's Tan's yes man. No one else will work under the conditions he is doing - and that's the only thing I feel some sympathy towards him for.

No, unless he walks (which I'm sure I read somewhere he would go if he thought he wasn't wanted?!?) we're stuck with him.

They were not tied today....No changes to system or personnel....

He belongs to a different time when it cost about a tenner in todays terms to watch the local team play and give it a go.

loads will back him, because they know nothing of football and haven't been around long enough to care! :old:

in the same way choo choo and dalmatian know nothing about running a football club, recipe for disaster! :old:

I'm not backing slade nor against him I'm on the fence because he is most likely going to be here next season I might as well give him a chance and with him having to costcut while being competitive for any manager I agree is difficult for any manager so let's see what he does next season if he's here. :thumbright:

whilst it is hard to back slade by same token he as had an impossible task this season and no one can say otherwise? so unless tan sacks him before end season he is staying and as such deserves support for what will be a fresh start from scratch, not having to do a job managing team by getting in players getting rid players and changing way team play after ole! simple job really anyone on fifa manager could do it!!:laughing5:

Allan,

We both know that we don't see eye to eye on Slade. I respect your opinion and of course you have some valid points but Slade has now been in place for three quarters of the season. The general concensus is that all the overpaid prima donnas have been removed from the club - those players were not performing or were sold simply to get them off the wage bill without them being given a chance under Slade.

He's had several months and a transfer window to shape a team that he wants and a style he wants to play, and can you hinestly say that firstly, the football he is presiding over has any quality or style to it or secondly, you have seen anything from Slade to suggest that, given another transfer window and another season, he will be able to change things to such an extent that we can truly "progress" in a way he seems to think are already doing?

Do you enjoy watching us play Allan? Do you come away from the game saying "That was great by us today"?

How is Slade going to change the style of play from dire and boring to exciting and successful? Are you confident he can do that and if so, what have you seen to make you confident.

Forget the "battling, hard to beat" qualities that every team should have as a bare minimum every time they go onto the pitch, where is the skill, the creativity, the evidence that Slade has the ability to make a success of a job that all season has proven to be beyond his abilities?
