I don't understand the laws of the game anymore

The ref appeared totally inept, have we had him before ?

What is the rule for players receiving treatment and having to go off. It hurt us last season but today why didn't their centre half not have to go off ?

The rule is that Cardiff players have to go off the field for treatment when injured, even if it's two or more players at the same time and the other side has a corner.

This rule does not apply to any team that is not Cardiff City however.

Hope that's cleared things up for you.

Millwall could have taken all 11 players off and we still wouldn't have scored.

We'd probably have conceded. :laughing6:

Ref was poor. Loved the sound of his whistle, didn't know how to play advantage.

Manga didn't go off either after that horrific tackle red card if ever there was one

He was so fat he needed to blow his whistle every few minutes so he could have a rest.

Im not suggesting for one minute it would have made any difference. After all we couldn't hit a cows udder with a pool cue today. However I agree, why didn't the player(s) have to leave the field after treatment. Its not as if the ref forgot about the rule, he was questioned by city players.

And that folks was the one moment of todays game that interested me. To call that performance shite is unfair on steaming turds everywhere.

Oh yeah I do have to say the ref was fecking shite today and our poor football really didn't help.

First half - ref stopped play with us at their box, to go back to treat Millwall striker who is flat out.

When he recovered, he went off, and unopposed drop ball for Millwall. They kick ball to Marshall, and the player comes back on.

he missed none of the game and we get hauled back 60 yards.

Yes but unfortunately that's the laws. The question was - why the injured players who had treatment stayed on the pitch?

Done a bit of googling and discovered that the rules were changed in 2010 to say that when two players on the same team collided and needed treatment they didn't have to go off the pitch. Something to do with losing 2 players putting them at too much of a disadvantage. Couldn't see from where I was whether yesterday's farce arose from a collision between 2 Millwall players or not. Either way it sits rather oddly with us having to have 2 players off the pitch when Liverpool scored a crucial goal from a corner against us last year. But it may be it is the rule that is stupid on this occasion and not the ref- although he was pretty stupid throughout the rest of the match.

Yeah but only one of them was receiving treatment weather he collided with another team mate or the goal post he should have gone off the ref was shit. He loved the sound of his own voice, he spent about 2 mins talking to manga just because he took a quick free kick and he wasn't ready. Slowed down an already painfully slow game

Totally agree with the comments about theref. He made a poor game even worse because he was fussy and didn't allow either side to play an advantage. The best referee is one that is hardly noticed during the game but he wanted to be a pivotal part of the game.
